Hingis, who has won five Grand Slam singles titles, won her first Wimbledon doubles title with Helena Sukova as a 15-year-old in 1996 before adding a second with Jana Novotna two years later.

She retired in 2003 at the age of 22 after a series of ankle injuries, but returned to the WTA Tour in 2006.

Hingis quit the game for a second time in November 2007, revealing she had tested positive for cocaine at Wimbledon that year, and served a two-year ban.

She then came out of retirement again in 2013.
I forgot she was on that white:mjpls:

Because Serena used to berate lines people and throw fits when she lost. Never giving credit to an opponent when they beat her. She did that shyt for YEARS and people haven't forgotten. That's why I can't get behind her even though she's right there with Graf all time.
bu bu but I thought everyone liked a good redemption story ? I thought the great murican way was to give those that have done wrong a 2nd chance. Di di didn't Connors, McEnroe, goran amongst others get over not only for their play but temperment also? I suppose when they did it it was passion right? :mjcry:

Hingis is underrated historically.
Still is my fav female player ever. She should have won that Grand Slam in 97. Not shytting on Majoli who had the tourney of her life but at the time he didn't make sense and it still doesn't to me. :mjcry: Anyway, Hingis lack of power and weak serve was always counterbalanced by her science and talent but once the Williams/Davenport/Capriati era started and crowned the 2H BH heavy baseliners (+ good serve), it was too much for her ::mjcry:

1. Federer
2. Sampras
3. Borg
4. McEnroe
5. Laver

Am i the only one that wish the top male players dabbled in doubles at the Masters events? Not EVERY Masters event but do like Rafa does and play doubles about 3-5 times a year
