where else breh!!
Fed and Nole coming up tomorrow. Who yall got winning?
I was not throwing shade at Bjorn and I know his resume. I was simply stating that from a pure statistical point of view, Nadal winning 9 of his 14 slams is comparable to other greats and that can't be used against him. I mean Sampras was considered the GOAT in the 90s (and was mine) and he never even reached a final at the French and only had a semi in '96 where he was blown by Kafel.
Borg won 5 wimbledons and 4 straight at FO and Wimby. 4 2nd place finishes at US Open and only played AUS once cuz he didnt feel like it. He won 83% of his W-L, 90% of matches in GS's and 41% of all GS's entered. Won 3-4 GS's without losing a set and he retired at 26 to pimp hoes.
Watch your slander of the Ice Man. He's a GOAT candidate.
oh my bad. yeah im in queens and i try to make it at least 2/3 days during the slamWord. I had no idea where you live

now to watch murray/peers take home the dubs title
Let's not forget that the case of Nadal and his "inflated" GS titles number is the same as Sampras with Wimby (7/14), Emerson and the Aussie (6/12), Connors and the USO (5/8), Borg and the French (6/11) and even Novak with the Aussie (5/8). The Nadal case is not rare at all and there are greats who just are too good on some surface in the era they play.
Anyway, let's get back to that female final. Serena with 3 doubles already
It was not really not shade considering I was putting Sampras there too and he was (and still is) my fav player growing up. Also considering how different were surfaces back then, Borg winning back to back French-British was incredible so that was definitely not my point.Fair enough. Just sayin that the comment insinuated (to me anyway) that borg was somewhat surface specific. He was great everywhere. Usually when I go about ranking players all time I use peak skills + achievements + duration (some combination). If I think that, at their best, a specific players peak was very very high then Ill rate them higher than some players who may have a better overall resume and consistency.
Everybody is. Same with Soderling, I'm sure. Both are entertaining players and Delpo my current fav since his French Open semi against Federer. I've been starving to see him playNadal is lucky as hell Juan Martin del Potro is injured
