If they both played tomorrow, i'd favor Novak in 4. Since they will have a days rest, i'll say Fed gets revenge and win in 4.

As Nadal fan, i'm in purgatory; a Fed win pushes him farther from Nadal and a comfy 4 slam cushion and a Novak win leaves him only 5 slams away from equaling Rafa (who I think only has 2 more slams victories in em).

Tough times :mjcry:

Nadal is not winning another one breh

Eh, he's toast at Wimbledon going forward imo and lost to the best player on planet at the French Open. He's not done. Fed went through at lull himself after winning the AO in 2010 until he made some changes to his game....and his racquet. Rafa cant be stubborn though but I think he is.

Had Federer ever lost to 100th Ranked players on 4 diff occasions in his prime though? :ld:

Federer is an extreme exception. You should read the article I posted a week or so ago about Fed. I don't know if anyone even read it besides @Liu Kang

Tennis careers aren't supposed to be prolonged like this: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-sun-never-sets-on-roger-federer-endings-and-wimbledon/

I think Nadal is done.

I'm comparing where Nadal and Fed were at when both were 29 years old. Fed made adjustments to continue to play at a grand slam winning level and now Rafa is at that age of trying be defensive and outgrind people from the baseline isn't going to get him anywhere but an early grave. He would be wise to look into going bigger on his racquet this offseason and would probably be helpful if he DID bring in either a brand new coach or another coach with new tactics.

Health wise, his knees are fine since he does that stem cell stuff now, but his tactics of standing 80 feet behind the baseline to return serve and trying to run down every ball is outdated.

:ahh::ahh:

And that's why Fed is forever and the GOAT and Nadal is the GOAT charlatan...imagine where his stats would be without the clay surface :wow:

I love WatchESPN. Watching the replay of Murray/Federer right now because I didn't get up in time to catch it live. No commercials, and the commentary is more understated than the TV broadcast. They let the play speak for itself a lot, often going multiple points without saying a word. Though I am a fan of Chris Fowler, and of McEnroe most of the time, I'm enjoying this commentary style. Much more muted.

I'd love for Fed to break Pete's record on Sunday, I just don't know how he can beat Nole. He won't beat him in 5, and it's gonna take Nole to play like shyt for him to lose in 3/4. I will be getting up to watch that one. Hope them boys put on a show for us.
