It sucks it got postponed because Murray was looking a lot more confident out there. Once he started yelling at himself he was attacking more and made Chokeabish look uneasy.

The issue with the extension is a little complicated than just that above all in Paris where heritage is highly valued. Town planning and architecture projects can take several years just to have the OK from the town hall because of pleas, denials and other administrative fukkeries. Which is currently happening regarding the French Open.

But I agree tho, that sucks

I almost give them a pass for not using Hawkeye but having NO roof on any of the main stadiums is a joke. I remember they said in 2011 a roof would be installed over Chartrier by 2016 but that ended up being veto'd or some shyt. Dont wanna "ruin" Roland Garros or some stupid ass reasoning they were pushing.

There were several projects for that extension. There were two that were nice imo :
- moving next to the Chateau of Versailles (my favorite) and building a brand new tennis complex
- moving next to Disneyland with the same idea

But the Federation really wanted to stay in Paris (and the mayor wanted to keep the Open) so they are trying to enforce the project which neighborhood associations try to fukk up and slow down with everything they can. Last news is that the State will push the project and deliver the OK next week so they can finally start to destroy and rebuild. If this keeps up, I wouldn't be surprised if Madrid or Shanghai becomes the 4th major. It's not like it wouldn't be deserved...

And really, way to kill momentum French Open. It was in the middle of a massive struggle with Murray having the edge, now its just reset and all the problems that come with the up and down of an important matches with different conditions... erased

I REALLY think Rafa not taking that Australian open last year hurt him mentally too. He hasn't been the same EVER since. No offense to Stan who earned it, that was a gimmie slam and would have put em at 15 slams by now making reaching 17 more realistic
