So what? Clay doesn't count because Nadal is better at it. :heh:
Because clay plays far differently than the other surfaces; it's basically a different game and his success on other surfaces isn't even close to his clay court success.

Exactly. So when 2 players are even on non-clay, and one dominates the other on clay, the other player is greater? :wtf:

In Fed's prime, no less
Look at the bigger picture:

Fed has the most titles at three of the four Grand Slams and had three different seasons holding all three. 232 straight weeks being #1, 10 straight GS finals, 23 consecutive semis, etc. Nadal can't hold a candle to those accomplishments. :manny:

Again you're back to comparing career achievements against the field while ignoring the makeup of said field :snoop:

Even in Fed's prime he wasn't beating Rafa like that.

do you or do you not agree that Rafa's prime had better competition? I've heard it said by many tennis experts that this is one of the best eras in tennis ever. Rafa holds winning records against all his competitors. Fed doesn't.

yall actin like federer greatness is defined by his record against nadal, based on his overall record, federer is the most dominant tennis player ever in his prime
while nadal aint even better than sampras at this point, yall gassing him up based on his performance against the GOAT whos passed his prime
in conclusion, federer is the best tennis player of all time, with the exception of djokovic, nadal's era is even weaker than roger's, kei neiskori in the top 10? david ferrer in the top 5? :heh:
and i know for a fact that players wouldnt dare to do federer like this, they know better than to provoke the gawd

Nah but I know we've seen a player leave Fed like this...

Boosted by the past few years against a Fed who's clearly been on the decline. :beli:

Stop it. Rafa was STILL beasting on Fed on hard courts when Fed was in his prime and Rafa wasn't even 21 yet. Only surface where in his prime Fed was CLEARLY better than Rafa was is on INDOOR hard courts. He lucked up in 2007 at Wimbledon against Nadal too.

LONDON — Rafael Nadal says the debate about the greatest player of all time should center on Roger Federer and Rod Laver.

Nadal addressed the topic after defeating Federer 7-5, 6-3 in the semifinals of the ATP World Tour Finals on Sunday. The 27-year-old Spaniard improved to 22-10 against Federer, who has a record 17 Grand Slam titles to Nadal’s 13. Nadal — who has collected a record 26 Masters 1000 titles and won Davis Cup and a gold medal in Olympic singles — believes a player’s success outside of the majors should be given weight in the debate.

“I believe it is 100 percent fair that people say [Federer is the best] because he is today, and it will be very difficult for any player to improve his numbers,” said Nadal, who will face Novak Djokovic in the final of the World Tour Finals on Monday.

“It is not fair to analyze the history of any player only for the Grand Slams. Everyone knows that tennis is not only the Grand Slams. There are a lot of things outside the Grand Slams. Roger has an unbelievable record outside of Grand Slams. For sure, in Grand Slams, he the player who wins more.”

Nadal also mentioned Laver, who won the calendar-year Grand Slam as an amateur in 1962 and a professional in 1969.

“So today the question is not about me or Roger, it will be more about Rod Laver or Roger,” Nadal said. “But I never had the chance to see Rod Laver play. And talking about my career, I am 27. I did more than I ever dreamed. I hope to keep having chances to keep winning. I’m going to work for that. And hopefully when I finish my career, we’ll see where I am in the history of tennis.”

even the peasant knows federer is the GOAT :umad:
while nadal was expanding mad energy playing federer, he was also losing to scrubs and watching the GOAT rack up majors lol
tell me how nadal is the goat when he isn't even better than sampras or djokovic. you dont know anything about tennis if you dont think 03 roddikk could beat prime nadal handily.
