I think Nadal may be fukked or something, this guy is way too emotional for his 9th in a row

have a feeling he might have a big injury

When does Rafa officially become GOAT though?
When he wins a major indoor tourney : Bercy or the Masters.
But he will be indisputable GOAT if he wins another Australian Open because he will have 2 of each Grand Slam.

Was he really sick? Other than that, I see no reason he wouldn't be able to hang with Nadal, even on clay. Dudes level just wavered and never really came back.
didnt look like he felt too bad, he was starting to pick it up late in the fourth but just ended being broken again :beli:

I don't understand why he didn't make Rafa work more. I know Rafa is a WALL on defense but like you said, he was getting bailed out by a lot of dumb decisions by Novak.

The move to add Boris Becker to the team hasn't resulted in anything different
I think he did make him work a lot. Bombing his backhand relentlessly and you could see at times, Nadal eager to move on his forehand but forced to do a backhand again and again.
Maybe Nole was tired, he was not great against Gulbis and I feel it was the same today.

And yeah, I don't understand the Becker move because dude never won a French which is the only trophy Nole wants.

even though nadal played a good match, djokovic mostly beat himself today. he got way too down on himself when his shots started missing. he sprayed alot of routine shots on both sides

Well just noticed that Djoko also did lose on a double fault in the 2012 French final.
