Was he really sick? Other than that, I see no reason he wouldn't be able to hang with Nadal, even on clay. Dudes level just wavered and never really came back.
Hate it but Djoko made way too much unforced errors to win that one. I was rooting for Nadal (though I'm not a die hard fan) but at times I was at Nole for giving Nadal free points like this.

I don't understand why he didn't make Rafa work more. I know Rafa is a WALL on defense but like you said, he was getting bailed out by a lot of dumb decisions by Novak.
The move to add Boris Becker to the team hasn't resulted in anything different
