I gotta wait for USTA to grant my appeal though..I self-rated way too high because I didnt know the ins and outs at the time and thought I was close to still being as good as I was (I hadnt played much in like a 5 year span).

Connecticut.

4.5 is a mixed bag..got some 4.0 dudes who are playing in it and some dudes much better than that playing in it because of lack of enough competition on higher levels. I was #1 in New England USTA as a junior at one point...also won states in doubles beating the 1, 2 and 3 seed en route as a junior (and I quit the team and didnt practice for 2-3 weeks prior)...my serve still pops in there around 120-125 but I am out of shape and lack consistency in technique and have struggled with a new racquet so I am no where near what I used to be. Doubles though, Ill always be a beast.

4.5 is the level to play at though..I work at a tennis center and have a good read on talent. There will always be people playing up and down a level at any level, but if you are good, you should try to play 4.5 (and it seems like youre pretty good).

Im Okay.. not quite ready for SoCal level 4.5, although I do practice and keep up with many legit 4.5's at the clubs/parks i hit at. 4.5 varies from state to state, im sure CT has a strong tennis scene for the tournament and collegian players playing there. Whats your new racket your using by the way?

ct has some quality but your area probably has more depth, at the very least.

the newer racquet is the youtek ig prestige pro, and i just popped the strings on it so im putting in a hybrid of wilson nxt and tecnifibre black code both 17g, one 3 pounds tighter than the other. we'll see how it goes..

my other and usual racquet, and the one ive been using for over ten years, is one of the old intelligence series radicals (i think the second or third gen)..used intellitour strings on it the whole time and always played well with it..ive been tempted to switch back to it and try to find a bunch of them online for the cheap

nice, why not try out the graphene version? Head swears its the best technology out.. nice hybrid of nat and poly

as for me I use 2013 APDs with any poly (rpm, luxolon, etc) usually at a 52-54 tension, works well for my style

No Prince head here ?
I used to be a Head head as a youngster but these days I only swear by Prince since I bought me an Ozone mid plus. I got two now plus a Exo3 Rebel Team 95 which had me :ohh:.
Its head is at 613 cm² (I never have a racquet that small before) and the control and accuracy I got is way more important than both of my previous Prince. Lend it to a friend one day and he was amazed of how much it fitted his style.

ive demo'd the bryan brothers exo3 rackets before, my serve was on.. not sure if it was the racquet or mental.. also one of my dubs partner uses the O3 (?) racket (ferrers older model, orange with the square holes). Its a good racket, I like prince rackets too..

my list of most favorite, would probably be

babolat
prince/head
volkyl
prokinnex
anything else
wilson

Can we just skip to Nadal vs Del Potro? I think Nadal gets him as it's early in the season and most of JMDP wins over Rafa has come later in the season when the wear and tear has kicked in.

Djokovic vs Nadal in the finals (again)? Sign me up

Del Po is a +1500 to win it all, thinking of putting $$$ on him

I only really fukk with Head. One of my favorite racquets as a junior was the Prince thunderlite though. Had unbelievable touch with it.

I was thinkin about tryin out some tecnifibre racquets but for now im just trying out one of their strings as the main with wilson nxt as the cross in my youtek to see how it goes. i bought a tecnifibre wholesale last year and wanted to keep it but someone offered 150 for it so i sold it.
