That article lays it out pretty clearly what happens. It wasn't one person who cleared Sinner. His explanation was deemed credible by multiple sources.

Perhaps it was doesn't stop the fact him being able to compete in silence was bullshyt and also the fact it was kept on lockdown for six months.

This will follow him for a long time and fellow players aren't impressed either especially with the way it was all handled.

So some italian spray had the banned substance in it and they didnt know:

On 12 or 13 February 2024, Mr Umberto Ferrara, the Player’s fitness coach, purchased a
medical spray with the brand name “Trofodermin” which is used to heal cuts (the ‘Spray’).
Trofodermin is available over the counter in Italy and does not require a prescription
(unlike most other countries). Mr Ferrara has provided a bank record confirming he made
a purchase at the Farmacia SS Trinità in Bologna, Italy, dated 13 February 2024 (but
suggesting the purchase was made on 12 February 2024). Trofodermin contains the
Prohibited Substance known as Clostebol

Having interviewed the Player twice, the ITIA accepts the Player had no knowledge that:
a. Mr Ferrara had the Trofodermin Spray in his possession at the villa;
b. The Trofodermin Spray contained a Prohibited Substance; or
c. Mr Naldi used the Trofodermin Spray to treat his cut finger.

After reading the article, the reason by Sinner & his crew is ridiculous enough to be plausible which I guess is all you need in this instance. I do think the silence is suspicious but at the same time it's probably better to handle these things without intentionally bringing a circus around it. Him being able to compete while under investigation just because his appeal was deemed credible enough still doesn't sit right with me but if that's the rules, so be it.

Sinner's rep is the mud right now tho...WOAT timing for this to come out during his breakout year
