I was kinda wondering why you would speculate wildly like this, but it dawned on me that Serena awarded another Wimbledon title means she's tied with Novak at 24.

Not going to bash her as she's clearly the GOAT female tennis player. I just think it's somewhat weak for her to take a shot at Halep, when I think it's clear to anyone being objective that she was on something much of her career.. Same are Barry Bonds, I don't take anything away from him.

Generally speaking what kind of career resume is your threshold for a player to be an "all time great"? IE how many slams, how much weight does #1 ranking hold etc... If it helps name a player that in your view just barely qualifies

There's different levels of "greatness" but I think if you are a multiple slam winner you are well on your way. Anything above 4 slams is pretty historic.
