That's not the case with DBFZ. You said yourself that they "kind of" tried it. When making a "everybody has bullshyt" fighting game you gotta go hard or go home. You can't dip your toe in the water. And if we're being honest everything about DBFZ screams half committed and scared(that game has a lot of issues but I digress)

I keep comparing SF6 to MKX because in MKX I would get that same "Why can this character do this?" feeling, but I kept noticing I was doing it with every character I fought:mjlol:

The overall point is wanting every character to have a fully loaded toolbox to explore and exploit. MKX has tiers like any other fighting game but every character has bullshyt to the point where most nikkas can get their shyt off.

Street Fighter 5 actually has a similar balance where EVERY character can eat but the difference with 6 is the increase in fukkery potential situations
Yeah, but the point I was trying to make is I rather have a game without that feeling. I was playing DBFZ the other day and any time I didn't have to fight against Vegetto, Gogeta, or SS4 Gogeta I had tons of fun, but as soon as one of them b*stards came on the screen the rage seeped in.

Basically capcom get the nerf button ready. They gonna have to use it a lot.

You're proving my point tho. A game being terrorized by a handful of characters is not the same as a game where everyone is a terrorist

And I didn't want to take it here but DBFZ is not a well made game breh:pachaha::manny: a lot of it's issues stem from how poorly made it is

I specified your "why can this character do this?" point because in DBFZ the best characters toolkits are miles away from the worst. The disparity is awful

Making everyone a terrorist is not the way. Having to deal with complete bullshyt from every character does not sound fun.

DBFZ is a decently made game to me. It just has a few flaws that they can tighten up (outside of fixing those 3 broken characters).

You know what a couple of years ago I would have agreed with this but DBFZ kind of tried this method and it's still 3 characters in that game that are just too much. I know fighting games are always gonna have some characters that are better than others but when it gets to the point where you're fighting them and you're like why can this character do this? That's a problem.

So they definitely gonna have to hit the nerf button on some of this.
Nah, you're thinking of UMvC3.
That game was fukked up. :dead:

With that said... This game got some really nice things, but I hate how impactful the universal mechanics are. Drive Rush feels kinda gross for some reason. Can't put my finger on it yet.

But back to how to actually keep things in control, take JP for example. That man is a MENACE. The timed spikes with fullscreen high/low/throw/speed/feint projectile mix are crazy by themselves but he has so much more, wtf?

Until you realize that man seems to have a very glaring problem with anti-airs and his counter is quite frankly ass. Then you start looking at him like "Y'know, if I play my cards right, I can fold this dude." Especially since SF6 characters are clearly leaning towards the strong side, unlike Mid Fighter V.

Oh MVC3 was definitely busted and for sure Virgil, Morrigan and Zero all got the nerf hammer if Capcom continued to support the game. But I played Phoenix so I dished out bullshyt more than received it :lolbron:

Lily looks pretty fun. Has nice ranged normals.

EDIT: Manon looks REALLY FUN to play. I might be sold :wow:. Her command grab gets stronger every time she uses it! :gladbron:
is she the new R. Mika?

Got a couple of nitpicky things I don't like about SF6 so far and they are the colors look dull and the art direction is kind of weak. I also don't like the hit sounds in this game. They don't capture that impact. Like even SFV had those sounds that when you hit your opponent you felt that shyt. SF6 hit sounds feel cheap.
