Do any of you do the entries on dynasty breaks or any card breaks?

Never done a card breaks but it's the only way an average person can be involved in box breaks at this point. For better or worse, they fukked up the game.

I just bought to spots for NBA ones for $279 a piece and two spots for NFL for $137 a piece.
Rip off, or no? I just wanted to get in on some action.

Got it. Wasn't sure if you guys had or if you thought they were a rip off..
I wouldnt have thought they was a rip off a few years ago im sure some of them are now with the hype in the hobby....What boxes are in the basketball mixer ?
I did Mavs breaks when I first started to get back into the hobby in early 2019
I thought they were semi expensive (300-400 for Mavs in a case break) for the 2018-2019 sets. Friend and I used credit with Platinum Breaks to get a Random Team slot for NT case break and we landed Mavs! Sadly no hit
Turns out all those case breaks for 300-400ish back then was actually pennies.
Hit several Select Luka RCs. Hit a couple Court Kings Luka RCs. Bunch of Prizm RC base. An Impeccable Luka rookie auto gold /10 is the best hit in a case break I’ve gotten, and it was the first break I ever entered.
Haven’t done a break since the “boom” after summer 19, though. They really gouged them prices of cases and boxes, and therefore breaks. Unless you’re hitting a Zion or Ja or Lamelo parallel or auto, you’re getting crushed it seems like. The value proposition of breaks has taken a big hit with how exorbitantly priced the top 2-3 teams are now.
With that being said, it’s still fun to do. And it’s the only feasible way to really get your guy/team out of a case without paying thousands or tens of thousands for the entire case yourself.

For reference, in March-June of 2019 my friend and I entered a few case breaks for Mavs as we were Luka hunting
Prizm fast break - $80 for random last 11 teams and Mavs were thrown in there. We got lucky and hit with one of our two spot buys
Select - 350ish for Mavs. Full case
Court Kings - 200 for Mavs. Full case
Impeccable - 350 for a 3 box case break Mavs
NT - won Mavs for a 4 box case break with credit we had from selling them 4 boxes of NFL Honors my friend hit that year and sold to Platinum. Value of that Mavs NT break was $450 for purchase at most breakers’ PYT.
Seemed like last year you couldn’t get into a Grizzlies or Pelicans break without them being in the filler. And if it was PYT, they were going for 600-700+. Pelicans was routinely 1k and beyond from what I saw.
Just to give some perspective on how much breaks have changed since then
Imagine getting a Pelicans or Grizz NT break last year or Hornets NT break this year for 450

Yeah, the teams will be the most important thing. If you get Lions, Broncos, Magic and Pacers, you're gonna get crushed. But if you get a hot team like @Codeine Bryant was able to get, you could get a big come up. It's basically gambling and provides a rush. That's a big reason why it's gotten so popular. Good luck!
