only difference w/ trading cards is the physical card.

Its not like Upper Deck couldnt reprint anything whenever they wanted.

Things are valuable only because people say they are.
There are plenty of reprints out there including MJ's rookie card. They don't sell for much. The market has dictated that.

What would sell for more: an original Rembrandt or a reprint?

You have no point.

my point is the online gif card *could* be a thing.

Kids are living in a different world than us.

Were headed to a virtual reality-type world.

I follow a number of companies that are building platforms for fashion...
...so when you buy a shirt in real life, you will have an online version of that shirt for your online persona.

Mail day. Got a lucrative sub back from PSA yesterday.

All bought raw except for Luka Downtown which was bought as a PSA 9 and cracked and resubbed.

I subbed the Zion Silver last year and got a 9. Cracked it. Saw it had surface defect. Resubbed and got a 10 :ehh:

Didn't mind the autos getting 9s. Didn't bother min grading them. Luka auto has off top-bottom centering and Ja auto has bad surface defect near the basketball.

Court Kings Level IV Ja has a rough top edge. Knew it wouldn't gem. Will probably look to offload that card once Ja has a hot stretch.

How long did it take to get them back from PSA? How much did it cost to get the all graded? How much more can you if selling vs selling raw?

Subbed in mid December. So about 5-6 weeks?

I paid $75 per card for grading. Didn’t get upcharged on any of them, which they are prone to do. If they grade a card that exceeds the estimated value, they can charge you more than just 75 for grading.

A raw 2018 Cornerstones Luka Downtown sold a few days ago for a little over 7k. My friend’s PSA 10 version of the same card sold at auction for almost 15k about a week ago.

It varies player to player, card to card. But raw cards are priced around the same as a PSA 9 a lot of the time. And it seems like PSA 10 can carry a 2-3x premium over raw/PSA 9.

At the end of the day, it’s almost always better to have your stuff slabbed. Protects it. And also makes it much more legitimate and hassle-free when it comes time to cash in that card. People look at raw cards funny and you always run the risk of shadiness with returns and what not if people don’t like how the raw card is on arrival.

Damn, you won MAJOR with them not upcharging you. I'm genuinely shocked the Silver Zion and Luka Downtown didn't get upped.

Thanks breh. Was expecting a 500-1k charge for the Luka. I did sub a few more in that sub that min graded, so I’m wondering if they were just like “fukk it” and weren’t pressed to pursue additional funds?

Who am I kidding. BGS/PSA are pure scum and fukkery.

They came through for ya boy this time, though :ahh:
