Was also looking at this card. This should be the same version as my other Mahomes card, but just 2018 instead of 2019, I believe. Not going to pay what the seller is looking for, but the card does look to be in good condition. Not sure what I would be willing to spend on it. I'd get it graded immediately though.

I do worry slightly that Mahomes career could take a different trajectory than many had thought a few years ago. Not saying he is going to decline, but losing Hill hurts, and there are a LOT of great QB's in the AFC alone. Lots of competition for individual awards.....

I know it's hard to tell, but what do you think of the quality of this card? I was trying to look at the edges and see if I can find any issues.

The seller has it listed for $1,250.

Most recent PSA 10 went for $2,800 on PWCC and one went for $2,500 on Ebay back in January. Thinking of trying to offer $800 and go from there, but I don't think $1,250 is too crazy if the card will get a good grade.

Based on that picture it looks pretty off-center top-to-bottom. Can't imagine that getting a 10.

That's what I was thinking as well. Assuming it doesn't get a PSA 10, and seeing people asking for around $1,700 for a PSA 9 on Ebay, I don't think it's worth me going $1,000 on it as I'd still have to send it in to get graded, and I'd have to hope it's at least a PSA 9 to make anything.

I know it's risky, but I think I'm going to continue to hitch my wagon to Lamar for these cards. I can't justify the prices for some of these other QB's. The prices on Lamar still seem far better than a Burrow, Herbert, Mahomes, Allen, and a few other top QB's. And, I'm not sure I want to take the risk on a Lawrence, Wilson, Jones, etc.......

That Kaboom isn't worth it; won't make enough on a flip to waste time on it, imo.

Booklets are very niche. Not my cup of tea and that won't sell like a real Shield card will.

Think I might sell my Mahomes card and then possibly my Kyler Murray one when I get it back in the next week or so. Been getting killed in the market, and need to free up some cash, so I might just put those on Ebay or something..

The Mahomes gold optic /10 is a PSA 9, and the Kyler one, I'm still waiting on PSA to send it back to the shop where I sent it in, but that should be back within a week or so. Not sure what the grade will be, but the card looks very nice.

I'd send the Mahomes to Probstein. You'll get the most eyeballs on it and best rate.

Email and establish contact with him. He's always been really good about responding in a timely manner with me.

When I send cards to him, I always email every card clearly so it's easy for them to put up. So for your Mahomes I'd just put something like:

2018 Panini Donruss Optic Patrick Mahomes Gold Prizm /10 #49 PSA 9 Mint

They might tweak it a little but that's easy for them to copy/paste and put up right away. I always print out a sheet with all the cards and my personal info and put it in the box with all the cards as well.

They send payment by ACH now so you'll have to give them your routing/account number at some point too.
