There's a BIN/BO that just got listed for $2K on eBay. Looks like most of the sales the past 3-4 weeks have been in the $1,500-2,000 range. There's only a shade over 200 PSA 10s for him. I think that's a fair price range.

Yea i been fooling myself into thinking it still has more value if Phoenix goes on a run this year but im ready to flip and re invest in other things...Paid $80.00 for it 2 years ago...before all the 00s TC started taking off.

Oh, if you got one a couple years ago, it's definitely a great time to cash out. IF Paul ever gets a ring, it'll go up more but it's tough to see that happening in Phoenix. Could see how the playoff bracket looks for them. If they can avoid a healthy Lakers team in the first two rounds, there's definitely a path to the Western Conference Finals for them. If LeBron and Brow remain injured, the west is wide open. Anyone could get through.

I read the last 20 pages of the 2020-21 Basketball Prizm thread on Blowout Forums

Codeine did that, so hopefully, you wouldn’t have to go through that

Seems like there’s a split between people who believe in Throwback Silver Prizms and those who think it’s too plentiful to be of great value. The following “analysis” is all anecdotal, as Panini hasn’t and probably won’t release any hard details or figures about the breakdown of this product, regarding inserts.

Posters have said that through their own breaks and group breaks they’ve watched online, Throwback Prizms fall about 1-2 per box. Some hobby boxes have yielded 0 or only 1. Other outlier boxes have yielded 3-4 throwback prizms. Seems like average is around 2 per box, or so.

Now as far as the Silver throwbacks go, harder to pin down a figure for that. Seems to be 2-3 per case. Less than 1 per box. Slightly more than a case hit. But not exactly a ton of them, either.

A couple of guys said that they saw 3 box breaks and only 1 or 2 throwbacks were pulled, none of which were silver. Others have said they’ve seen half case or full case group breaks that netted several Throwback Prizms, but only 1 or 2 silvers.

A few brehs were saying that they think this could be insert of the year. Similar to Net Marvels for the 2019 class. Posters were saying that collectors will undoubtedly try to build the full 15 player set list and that will dry up the market and raise prices. It will be even harder to build the set with silvers.

People are saying that Net Marvels fell 8-9 per box. I didn’t know they were so plentiful. Sounds like Throwback Prizms are falling a quarter of that, sometimes less (1-2 per box). Silvers even less than that...

For reference, a 2019 Donruss Luka Doncic Net Marvels PSA 10 goes for roughly 700-800.

I think there’s money to be made here, brehs. This is an iconic/historic set in the hobby. Sure, it’s mostly (if not all?) vets. But the silvers seem to be quite a bit more rare than inserts last year that approached 4 figures.

I already secured one Luka throwback silver Prizm and am looking to grab 2-3 more by end of next week.

Yeah, I think they'll dry up pretty quickly. I'm torn on their long term outlook.

Net Marvels took off because they were a great looking insert (this year's are great too) so it was mostly organic, imo. What bugs me about these Throwbacks is it's not even the ten year anniversary of the original release, none of the pics wow (to be fair, 2012 didn't have any great pics either) and there's no rookies. LeBron's gonna be the key card from this set but the regular base looks 100x better and is low key an iconic moment/photo. In the future, people will gravitate to that card over the Throwback.

I think it's a safe gamble, but I can't shake how manufactured it feels.

I feel you. The flashback Prizms are definitely a money grab.

But lesbihonest breh, that shyt is going to be a valued commodity in this hobby. If there’s one “heritage” or “classic” modern set, it’s the inaugural 2012 Prizms, no?

And yeah, I hate that the Luka card has him wearing the ugly ass Fresh Prince jerseys from last year. If they were our normal blue jerseys.... oh man.

The key for me is that it checks multiple boxes. Limited run? Sure. Shiny? Absolutely. Silver? Yes. Throw in the set’s historic standing amongst old timers and even newbies to the hobby.

I definitely think a vet Flashback Silver Prizm is going to be 2-3x at minimum, if not more, of the same vet Silver regular Prizm from this years set.

lol is there any other way to buy right now?

We’re all going to be buying raw (new drops) for the foreseeable future :francis:

And yes, prizm dropped 2 or 3 days ago.

I don't even see the empty retail boxes on the shelf. I honestly think the guy who's supposed to deliver retail packs to stores around here just keeps them and sells them himself.

I dont have to contend with the people following the clerk around store to store, they just arent up here on store shelves for the most part....
