It's a limited time item for the rest of 2017 only. They've been upfront with that from the jump. Why? Who knows?
Nintendo makes it very hard for people to give them money sometimes. Only time in like the last decade where they had enough supply to meet demand was the Wii U cause there was zero demand for that trash

I lucked out getting the NES classic on the first day by just waiting in line at Target but I'll definitely be pre ordering this time.

I get that they're trying to generate buzz but this would sell even without it.

We appreciate the incredible anticipation that exists for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, and can confirm that it will be made available for pre-order by various retailers late this month.
