Everybody might want to start studying leadership influence and persuasion tactics. There will be a time for savagery and survival, but once that initial phase dies down somewhat there will be a time where people are going to start banning together to build alliances and allegiances. You want to be able to communicate with people effectively and make people see things your way and always have a dominating frame. This is where things like body language and covert persuasion are very very important. I use them all the time to get my way and I keep reading to become better and better. You want to be a person of integrity but also ruthless if you have to be. If anyone is interested I have some great books to get you started

I like to write this stuff down in composition books and the like. I even keep manuals and instruction booklets for loads of basic shyt because you never know when they'll turn your phone into bricks. Physical copies of this info can be invaluable.
Look up homesteading stuff. And you are right about physical copies.
I'll be posting shyt along the way. I'm in the country with my uncle this week. My grandmother and grandfather left land on both my mom and dad's side. I took a bunch of my books up there for storage.
But my uncle is the only one who wanted to go back. He and my aunt started refurbishing the farm and houses two years ago and I wanted to learn shyt so I decided to go help on some off days. My great aunt is giving me her house. I won't have time to tend to it so my aunt who is retired is keeping it.
This summer we're homesteading and going through the process of trying to establish water independence. We took water samples from the old wells yesterday to get them tested. We also have rainwater collectors. Optimally we will see if the stream that runs by our land is viable and have several sources for fresh groundwater. The pumps still work but they are old.
My sister thinks I'm batshyt crazy but the plan is to get the deed, finish my PhD program, get a job at one of the colleges in town about 30 miles away, retire in the country and live sustainably.
I can live in the city, but having a get away property is definitely the move.

Having shyt like this, backed up and saved somewhere like a USB, can be fukking valuable too.
Edit: I'd also suggest that you brehs by some portable generators (Get an extra cheap one to practice and take apart too) and keep them on hand. I'd never suggest anything criminal but learning how to siphon fuel from cars could be a valuable trait too.
