So I’m late as hell but this was really fukking dope. A good mix of Big and a superhero flick.
And I didn’t expect the Shazam family to show up

I'm late af. 
but fukk it! I loved this movie, shyt was good, funny, in has great inspirational messages for the kids. I liked Billy and his family especially the little black girl her main actress did great especially the adult actress. in the rest of the fam becoming Shazam was great too but, I didn't like that the family mastered their powers instantly while Billy took awhile to master his powers. The fam being already good at their powers took me out of the movie a little. The villain was ok but the acter probably had the best performance but he was written pretty generic for my taste but overall loved it 8.5/10.
Even tho I'm late because End Game took all my attention. shame this movie didn't make more money at the box office as I'm hearing because it deserves more money.... Hopefully The Rock is in the next one to put butts in the sets.... I hope it gets a sequel, and hopefully WB puts it at a better release window, Wtf we're they thinking putting this so close to End Game in CM? fukking idiots at WB.

they did it with Aquaman and destroyed the competition completely and made WanBillion , there's a reason you're not the exec.. movie release dates are placed strategically for a reason

I feel you. But come on did they really think people would flock to a unknown superhero property so close to two Marvel films?
and Btw Aquaman is not really a fair comparison. Jason Momoa and James Wan's Direction carried that movie to it's success due to Momoas in James well known past success with other franchises... this movie didn't really have any well-known actors to pull more people in.... fukk it, I still enjoyed the movie, so can't complain, it got my cash so, I've done my part.
..... I've read that the movie turned a profit, so that's good to here, now I'm just waiting for the sequel.

this movie was hilarious. i like Shazam's best friend too from the show My Myself & I. this was just as good as i expected it to be after seeing what the story was really about. once i realized he was a kid in the costume i knew fukkery would be afoot

And thats excactly why WB didnt care about the release date, due to its budget it was 100% guaranteed to turn a profit, and thats all that matters when it comes to greenlighting a sequel, just like Ant Man im sure no exec was hoping for SHAZAM to do a billy.
it did what it needed to do and now thats its had a positive footing, they can now flex with the sequel

Naw, Rock said he's filming next Spring so it'll be a 2021 film most likely. Plus they hired a director last month
