Excellent comic movie.

Had its cheesy moments, funny moments, slapstick moments, and even a few heartfelt, serious moments.

Great casting too. The kids (darla was great), the dad, both billy's, freddie, the wizard, the villain etc....just great.

My only gripe is Genos, I prefer Pats.
Otherwise I loved this movie. Those expecting a big budget action romp will be disappointed.

I'd take a Jim's or Steve's cheesesteak over both of them.
Dellasandro's kinda fell off recently but before that I had them above Pat's and Geno's too.

I thought Zachary Levi was entertaining but he was really overacting as a kid; it didn’t seem like he was making any attempt to mimick Angel as Billy, which was kind of distracting.

Only thing that got annoying to me. Shazam acted like a kid more than the actual kid actor lol. I was like damn are you acting 14/15 or 10. But I guess he had to exaggerate so he didn't come off as an adult at all in his acting I guess.

Only thing that got annoying to me. Shazam acted like a kid more than the actual kid actor lol. I was like damn are you acting 14/15 or 10. But I guess he had to exaggerate so he didn't come off as an adult at all in his acting I guess.

Levi's voice is higher, or at least for the comedic moments he pitches his voice higher, which makes him come off more goofy than the kid actor.

His voice sometimes and also his goofy facial expressions lol. The kid actors were pretty solid and stoic (they were foster kids) while Shazam was on some goofball shyt sometimes lol.

This movie wasn’t a bad movie.

But it’s a movie that was everything every non DC movie has been criticized of for over last decade.

In some ways, I’m surprised the main coli critics actually enjoyed it with how they shytted on movies in the same realm and said they wanted something different.

Interested in seeing where the Rock takes this.

I’m sure he will be funny with lots of jokes and that will be another fun movie too.

Im glad they went on a different direction cause really what they've been doing the last few movies (besides WW and maybe AM) has not work at all

maybe it was just too goofy at times for my taste
I am definitely watching the sequel with Black Adam in it since Im a big Black Adam fan
