One hand Steve would get handled. The kovlev vs super man match was appealing at one point but as time goes on, it becomes obvious over their respective fights that Kovlev was the better fighter. Ergo, given ward competative win over kovlev, super man is tune up fight level at this point.Where has this dude been anyways?

(Btw.. I had Ward winnin Rnds 1,4,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 with some of the earlier rounds possibly going either way)
After the knockdown, Kovalev barely did anything else MORE than what Ward was doing... Especially after round 6.
He might've landed more punches in certain rounds but almost took double the shot attempts to get.
Then Lampey sits there and talks when Ward is landing good clean shots but then makes sure to point out whenever Kovalev did something good...
Then he does his usual bullshyt of giving Kovalev credit for shots that didn't even land at all like he used to do in Pactard fights.
shyt was disgusting to listen to. No way do I think Ward dominated the fight but he outworked Kovalev, especially in the later rounds. Doing more damage to the body and landing the crisper punches.. Had more head snapping moments than Kovalev. A lot of the time they both landed punches at the same time so it canceled each other out. But aside from the stumble from the jab in rnd 1 (which wasn't enough to give Kovalev the round to me, especially when they both landed the same punch) and the knockdown in round 2, rarely (outside of maybe 2 rounds) did I see a round where Kovalev outworked Ward and it was to the point where you could tell Kovalev was tired and worn from bodyshots.
Great fight, probably FOTY, but no way a robbery and a good decision overall. Racist whites are mad and Lederman/Lampey 80 year old white asses need to retire or resign. They're one of the main reasons i refuse to pay for HBO fights

Bottom line the judges fudged the rounds. I ain't saying kovalev got robbed but I would have agreed with a draw. Giving ward 9 fukking rounds brehs, thats bias

All 3 sitting at different areas of the ring pretty much had the same scorecard especially after watching the entire fight.
I came in at the 5th round which I gave to Kovalev I believe. Most of it could've gone either way but it was close if not a win for Ward
Being the hunter all night doesn't mean you win the fight ala Floyd Mayweather who rarely is the hunter going in. Kovalev was the bigger and natural boxer at the weight but Ward continued to stay out of range, or quickly bully his way into range, land to the body, keep circling, throw crisp punches, where Kovalev didnt cut off the ring, threw less snappier punches, and got tagged more cleaner as the fight went on. By the 2nd half of the fight (7th round) Ward was in a rhythm and aside from the occasional jab and stalking, Kovalev didnt do much.
I could see why the refs all agreed on what they agreed. I could've saw a draw as well but Ward did a lot of good things in the fight and really only had 2 clearly bad rounds and that was the 2nd and 3rd.
I'm sure more will come out in the future.. But Kovalev really doesn't give a fukk about what JDJ gotta say in that corner. It must've been the first or second round where I saw the Russian corner man telling Kov something, and as soon as JDJ starts talking, Kov motions him to stop, and JDJ says sorry.
Strange team indeed.

This was the good kind of controversial decision, which promotes legit debate and gets you hype for the rematch, not the type that has you like
With that said I don't even want to know the amount of hard liquor that was consumed in the HBO green room for Lederman to come up with that outrageous score
