Ay but real talk...I be wondering do he practice his jumpshot at all? No disrespect to the man but I don't see how he still can't shoot

I think we underestimate how hard it is to do NBA things at an elite level. Russ was an 80+% free throw shooter with OKC, so he knows how to shoot. His midrange %'s are decent. It's more that he's not an "elite" shooter and his shot doesn't hold up all the way out to 3pt range. And since he's not a good decision maker, he often launches shots with the wrong momentum or in inappropriate situations.

Russ doesn't care about winning basketball games, that's why.

He is only interested in padding his stats, and getting paid. It makes no sense for a guard to not have worked on his shot in 15 years. He got by on his athleticism, and when that failed him, you see the results.

I've always liked Russ. Been a fan of dude since OKC, and I coined the term "Beastbrook" years ago.

I've watched his game closely. He's fallen off. For some reason, certain people can't see it. He always was a low IQ player, but he used to be able to put up 27 points so it didn't matter.

Now, you can't get by on athleticism alone-- you gotta put the ball in the basket or in the hands of someone that can. He can only do one of those things currently, and half the time, it's a turnover.

...in a game that went 6 quarters, where he also had 7 turnovers, the defensive lapse that caused the game to go into overtime, which they promptly lost.

3rd game he wasn't the reason for a loss.

Whole damn team had too many turnovers.

Damn near everyone shot terrible except Russ and Zubac.

Russ played well late in the 4th

Lue still working out different closing lineups (Notice Gordon played only 7 minutes and Russ played the last 5 minutes of game)

Tough schedule so far, but clippers are in prime position to make a run.
