Saw an interesting argument that Clinton's move right on Israel is in reaction to the death of the Israeli left. The entire Israeli electorate has lurched right, labor now parrots likud. Likud parrots Jewish ethnic-nationalists.
To maintain a good relationship with Israel, which we can assume is a sincere principle or strategic imperative for HRC, she can't just give lip service to the two state solution like past presidents while still offering de facto recognition of settlements and apartheid. She has to bolster her rhetoric from conciliation to maintenance and defense of Israeli power.
Also great to see trump getting a standing O yesterday. There's nothing that fires up AIPAC like a candidate who promises second class citizenship for Muslims and harsh border policies aimed at ethnic purity.
