I had to cut the animated themes off and go back to the flow theme, shyt crashed my PS4 when browsing the menu.

Stop pulling the power cord nikka.shyt that rest mode shyt I even left it on came back a few hours later back in rest mode.

I'm not understanding how some of yall are still having rest mode issues. I just make sure all my applications are closed and notifications are cleared before putting the system into rest mode, I haven't had any issues with it since. Sony still need to hurry up and fix it tho
I never had an issue with rest mode. I just put it to rest no matter what I was doing and it goes to sleep no problem. I used to have some minor issues way back where my PS4 would beep but not turn on completely but then all I had to do was press power again.

I've read a couple different things causing the Rest Mode bug. One is having an application/game open while going into it, so I close whatever was open before doing it. The other, is having a disc in the system. One of the dudes I follow on twitter said he had the bug happen with a game disc in the system, and it didn't happen when he took it out.
Clearly an extremely small sample size, but I figure it's worth a shot for those having problems. I haven't had it happen to me yet, though I don't have any discs in my system. My system did freeze on the 2K Kevin Durant screen shortly after the update, but holding the power button down (took about 20 seconds IIRC) remedied that, and haven't had any issues since. One thing I don't like, is how when you boot the system up, there's like a click, and it sounds like either the disc drive or hard drive is trying to go to work. It's just an ugly sound, and I don't recall it being there before the update.

I think I;m siding more towards destiny now. The reviews look solid but the gameplay itself seems dull and repetitive to me, almost the same COD I'll get sick of in a month.
