I am really thinking about getting an xbone but don't think I can justify it...it would be easier for me to justify a wii...but I'm really thinking about it. I may cop one for my bday if games come out.

Breh a Wii U is a more logical choice imo. Lets say you bought a Wii U next year around Jan or Feb, you'd have at least 5-6 games to choose from that are great and available nowhere else. The games are SM3DW, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Sonic Lost Worlds, , Zelda WW HD, ZombiU, New Super Mario Bros Wii U/Luigi U and then that's counting what's out already. You got Donkey Kong Country Returns Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros which should be releasing Q1-Q2 so those are games you can get to play soon.

Xbox 1 you'd have essentially the same choice of games for PS4 out now except replace the indie games like Trine 2, Don't Starve and retail games likeKnack, Killzone, Resogun with Ryse, Forza, DR3 or Killer Instinct. Once you beat Ryse and DR3, you'd be echoing the same sentiments of how you think the launch is weak and it should have released in 2014 yadda yadda. Xbots won't keep it 300 but their lineup is nothing to talk about. This PS4 "has no games" coming out meme is tiring. It's not true at all. The only difference is the titles coming out next year for Xbox were already revealed and shown even if only a teaser eariler and that itself causes the Xbox fans to be more vocal about it.

Ok.

How is your PS4 setup?? Wirelessly?? Wired?? What's the IP?? Check it on the PS4 internet connection status page in the network settings.

You may have to forward your ports.

http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psvita/ps4link/viainternet.html

http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Asus/RT-N56U/defaultguide.htm Follow this guide to do it.

Before you forward your port, give your PS4 a static IP address by setting up your connection manually on your PS4. That IP address will be what you use in the local ip field for forwarding your ports.

Word. Yeah, most of this I was a bit familiar about when getting the net to be more stable on the ps3 (though I had forgotten how to do some of it). Just have to get around to actually doing it. Most of the time when I want to get on some games, I just want to get straight to them rather than be toggling shyt. I will do this eventually though.

Anyone have any idea how much data consumption streaming a game on ya phone's 4G/LTE would take? Like, 1 hour of whatever game you streaming. And I also wonder if different games would cause different amounts of data consumption, like if higher graphical fidelity games or games with more things going on all at 1nce takes more data to download than the more simpler or less graphical games.

Try doing a speedtest with your PC connected directly to the modem and then with it connected to the router and compare the difference. If it's drastically different then try resetting your router through the little switch in the back and likewise with your modem. What errors do you get when you try to do RP over the internet?

This is my speed thru wireless, a good 15-30 feet from my router:

I fixed it. It's there now.
Okay those speeds are good. Now do you have remote play enabled to work from standby on your PS4?
If you enable remote start on the PS4™ system, you can use remote play to wake the PS4™ system from standby mode. On the PS4™system's function screen, select

(Settings) > [Power Save Settings] > [Set Functions Available in Standby Mode], and then select both [Connect to the Internet] and [Enable Turning On PS4 from Network]
to set checkmarks.

Of course! Yeah, I can cut it on and work it just fine in the house as far as to the bathroom in our bedroom with little hitches (it does artifact a bit from that distance though on our network).

I'd say follow the guide for forwarding ports and giving your PS4 a static IP and then trying it. The only thing right now that could cause it not to work is your ports being closed.

TYRONE GA!
This joint:
And while I'm paying for 50 megs down, the highest I've gotten since getting a new 3.0 modem is 32-33 megs down, over wifi at least with about 9-10 upload.

I just went with a powerline adapter for my quad since my router is upstairs in my bedroom. :manny:

I pay for 50 megs down as well, and was only getting 20megs with wifi at best. Using the powerline, I'm pulling about 35megs

Get yourself a DD-WRT capable router, setup a wireless bridge and wire your Quad and anything else you need a wired connection for and then feast breh's.
