Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
:wow: where did you hear about that?

DayZ’s creator, Dean “Rocket” Hall, told EscapistMagazine that Sony has shown interest in bringing DayZ to the PlayStation 4, even going as far as meeting to discuss the possibility. He said:

It appears to be the kind of game that Sony are interested in, I think we just have to wait and see. We’ve talked and met with Sony, and they’re very – you know, they’re obviously interested.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain led Microsoft's Xbox One press conference with an impressive trailer earlier this week, showcasing the game's photorealistic lighting engine, a vast open world and detailed character models.

But series creator Hideo Kojima says the next-gen versions of the game will ultimately look much better than what was first shown on Monday.

"For this project we were using the PC to build the Fox Engine to create our game," Kojima explained in an interview at E3 today. "We're using the current-generation as a [guideline]. While we were developing on current-gen, next-gen came long. We're really trying to reach the peak of the current generation right now — 360, PS3 — and then see how much we can take it up for the next-generation."

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain's E3 presentation was "more tuned to current generation," Kojima said, in terms of the game's models and textures.

"Once we start going into development for next-generation we're definitely looking for something better than [what] we have shown today," he said. Kojima added that the developer is aiming for a 60 frames per second refresh rate and a higher resolution for the game's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases.

Kojima said the next Metal Gear Solid will also feature interactivity with smartphones and tablets.

"You can also enjoy the game with multiple devices," he said, so players can "enjoy [Metal Gear Solid 5] from anywhere at any time."

"With MGS5, I feel that [using] multiple devices, tablets and smartphones and how to interact with it socially is a big step forward."

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was announced this week for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Just imagine how good its gonna look on that 4 :youngsabo:

The development of The Order: 1886 was in limbo for "years" before the release of PlayStation 4 dev kits, Ready At Dawn creative director Ru Weerasuriya told Polygon today.

The studio, which is known best for its work on PlayStation Portable titles for the God of War series, began creating the concept behind the game's world years before it eventually entered into development; however, according to Weerasuriya, last generation hardware was not capable of achieving the ambitions the studio had for the single-player action adventure title.

"THE STUDIO IS KNOWN BEST FOR THE PSP GOD OF WAR RELEASES"

The Order: 1886 takes place during the post-industrial revolution, in an alternate history where humanity is in the midst of a battle against preternatural entities. While gameplay details aren't being made public just yet, Weerasuriya acknowledged that what appears to be co-op combat in the game's recently revealed trailer does in fact hint at what users could expect later down the line.

While this will be the studio's first IP, Weerasuriya described the development of the title on PS4 and the team's experience developing on PSP as "very similar."

"Ultimately you don't change your thinking when developing for one system or another," he said. "Your thinking is you maximize what is capable on the PSP or PS4 hardware. The PSP was actually very powerful."

The Order: 1886 is also written by Weerasuriya. The title's PS4 release is yet to be dated.

Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, says he's personally very excited about the potential of the Oculus Rift VR headset, but he wouldn't comment on whether or not support for the Kickstarter-backed contraption would come to the PlayStation 4.

"A couple of guys in our studios have the Kickstarter version," Yoshida told a group of reporters at E3 today, including Polygon. "I tried it and I loved it. It's great."

Yoshida was asked whether the Oculus Rift VR headset currently works on PlayStation 4. "No it doesn't," he said.

When asked whether Sony plans to support it, he offered, "No comment."

The Oculus Rift currently works on the Windows and Mac OS platforms, with support from developers like Valve, which recently enabled Rift support in its landmark shooter, Half-Life 2. Four Oculus Rift titles are featured at the IndieCade booth at E3 this week.

Does Cliffy B have some valid points or is he a fukkboy?

Microsoft's decision to redefine the concept of "game ownership" and Sony's decision to ridicule that decision had many people praising the PS4 developer. Cliff "CliffyB" Bleszinski, former bigwig at Epic Games and creator of the Gears of War franchise, was not one of them. "You cannot have game and marketing budgets this high while also having used and rental games existing," he said via Twitter. "The numbers do NOT work people."

Dude Huge also thinks that Sony has its own used game solution up its sleeve and is just playing on the internet outrage for free PR. "You're all being played!" he warns us. Rumors that Sony's own machine would block used game sales in some way surfaced in the lead up to the PS4's reveal.

Bleszinkski went on to explain his stance, saying that games have gotten so big that there is just no way the next generation can survive if the used game and game rental markets keep taking a cut. "The visual fidelity and feature sets we expect from games now come with sky high costs," he says, "Assassins Creed games are made by thousands of devs."

The former dev also warns us that the day-one $60 disc-based model is crumbling. "Newsflash. This is why you're seeing free to play and microtransactions everywhere."

Pretty inflammatory statements, but then again, Cliffy B is not known for holding his tongue, having spoken out in favor of unpopular business strategies in the past.

Nonetheless, you can't argue with the success of man's games, and he is in no sense of the word a "bad dev." He does actually know what he's talking about, so maybe he is just saying the things we all don't want to hear, but know to be true?

But then again, maybe he should just can it, and have a look at Nintendo's stance on used games: make games that are so good that people will want to keep them forever.

Cliffy, B-awch? :ld: Maybe you shoulda been releasing your games multiplat last gen. :manny: All this from a dude who supposedly worth 15 million. I guess when he goes to Bill Gates house it makes him think about how much he hates used games. Be happy with what you got Clifford.

Cliffy B is def a fukkboy after that shyt. Always gotta be one against the grain mufukka.

If Sony decides to put in some bullshyt after they showed the whole world they weren't a$$holes like MS, they will be ripped accordingly.

sony would get hit a class action lawsuit if they went back on their word now.

i think their solution was to charge a fee for multiplayer. there's also no reason why marketing should cost more than the actual production.
