I had a dope ass album of shots I took in zona Rosa one day. Dope shyt. It was honestly my favorite set of pictures I've ever taken. Perfect quantity of people. It was hopping but not over crowded. People sitting on benches, the fountain, sun set had the lights going. All of that. Settings were good. I'm hoping to stumble upon the set on one of my hard drives or USB sets because I can't find them, I had them uploaded to canons web service which I hate because I can't share albums (or atleast I haven't figured out how to). Only reason I did that was because I could dump them from my camera directly to canon via the web. I don't know what happened in the interim but I don't have the files on my hard drives and they were on Canon's site, I know because I was pissed about have to download and organize. And by the time I got to it, they were gone.
ZR is a spot I never spent/spend time at, so I would love to catch those, if you find em.

I got put on to a new Fujifilm app that lets you send the shots straight to the phone, with GPS and everything, and hella features, but my camera body is too old :snoop: stuck on the wack ass app that’s literally no better than nothing. I’ve felt my progression through lenses, but I’m not ready for a new body yet, even tho I am :to:

ZR is nothing to write home about. A ok restaurants. Some stores, nothing exclusive. I guess just your typical out door mall. It has just a fountain, like from the movies. Where the water shoots out the ground and in different patterns. You can walk through it, kids splash through it. There's out door eating, some live music from time to time. I understand people calling it wack but it's a nice little place. Plus I like restaurants where you can eat/chill on the roof, and they have one.

Story behind this is because im going to chitown next weekend, if im going to be shooting outdoors, a cat i know whos been taking pictures since high school told me, throw my camera on random setting on manual and while looking through the viewfinder, use my jog wheel and the buttons on the body to adjust the iso/shutter/aperture until i get a clear picture, with good lighting, obviously shutter speed high enough that theres no shake detected, iso low enough so theres no grain. do that take a couple pics, fukk up all the settings, walk around and adjust on the fly. dont have time to be staring at the screen, swifting through settings while life passes me by.

How do y'all feel about Seamless Paper backdrops? I need some backdrops for my home studio and they say the paper ones are the best. I'm looking at Savage Paper and it seems legit. I think I might do a tech green so I can change the backgrounds out myself.

But that's pretty much industry standard no?

I used to use them on a regular basis when I was doing model work. I'd get Superior Seamless or Savage in about 8-10 different colors, they are great for different background looks. Only issue is they can get dirty and eventually the roll runs out, also light fall off isn't as nice as it would be with Muslin. Last I looked the 107" rolls I used to get for $60 are now damn near $100 plus ridiculous shipping at over $50. If you can find a local art store/camera store that carries them that would be your best bet. Muslin fabric backdrops a lot of people use cause they soak up light reflections, are washable, resuable, and easily portable. You won't have the wide range of colors that the paper backdrop offers.

After doing a lot of commercial work with fast turnaround I'm starting to think maybe I should sell my macbook pro and move back into windows for my daily driver.

There are some small things I've started to come across that have become a hindrance to my workflow. Especially with file transfers taking longer on my macbook pro than my pc for cloud solutions. hell even the SSD transfers were slower and that's just a deal break when you have to meet quick dealines for press recaps.

You guys have any advice here. @Kamikaze Revy @GoldenGlove @MikelArteta @shutterguy

I’m all Mac everything.
My transfer speeds are quick with the exception being when I have to dump 1 or 2 TBs of 6K Red Raw footage which takes 1 - 2 hours respectively but I’m cool with that because that’s a massive amount of data.

Unless you NEED Apple specific programs I almost never recommend a Mac due to the cost savings of a windows machine with similar specs and the modularity of PCs.

Apples M chip set is closing the gap cost wise though so my stance has been slowly changing.

I use Windows and no issues with Lightroom or any other software for photo editing

I've always been a windows guy

99% of what I’ve used and owned over the years has been Windows machines. My current laptop is a Surface 7 Pro with the old i7 chip, no issues with speed I have had with. My only Apple products are my phone and watch that I bought a year ago. Have used the MacBooks very little.
