Really just preference. I wouldn’t want the adapter to the be a bottle neck of any sort. Sometimes AF slows down a bit or not as accurate compared to native lens. It’s okay when you’re say shooting something for your self or social but a different beast if it’s a paid gig/gigs

I respect the preference part. Honestly all the reviews I read before I bought mine have been rock solid A+ on it. AF performance is as good or better than whats on the DSLR's. Only lens I have right now that uses it is my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, not one issue, with paid and personal work. Actually the used market for EF L lenses has been a goldmine depending on what you are looking for. Just found a 17-40mm f/4 L on Adorama for half of what it cost new in excellent condition. I get it though, my fam in Atlanta has a few Canon DSLR's he uses for architecture, the adapter was not his favorite when I showed him my R.

These are stunning, and the edits are on point.

Thanks, actually these are straight out of the camera with the Tamron.

EF lenses perform so much better on R bodies. And I agree the market has been a goldmine. I don't really mind the adapter, I have two of them as when i do weddings I only do 35/85 so before I had a second body with the adapter already on easy switch.

I mean for what a RF 85mm 1.2 is like 3 grand :heh:

you can get the ef 85mm 1.2ii for like 800 on ebay
