Anyone here ever monetize their photos or is it mostly hobbyists here?
i shoot for moneyAnyone here ever monetize their photos or is it mostly hobbyists here?
i prolly should have been more specific. i shoot corporate shyt and lifestye/ portraits. the street stuff, selling a print has been RARE, but i dont promote it. that sht is just been being "artistic" or practicing. from what i've seen, selling/monetizing the hobby shyt has gotten a lot more difficult, especially since IG prioritized video of stills. It is posible if you get the right eyes on your stuff thoThat's what'up. Would like to do something similar with landscape, astro, and drone photography if there's a market for it.
If you can get your hands on a circular polarizer that would helpful to minimize reflections off glass. The lens you have is fine for full and detail shots. When shooting detail shots I always use a wide aperture to focus on things I want to stand out. f/8 and smaller should be more than enough to get an entire car in focus from a 3/4 view. Try shooting at different heights, ground, bumper, and standing to give different perspectives on vehicles. If you can try and get shots without people in the background, less distractions that way, might be hard if the show is crowded.

Mostly 24-105. And I did a few with 85Clean, beautiful shots
What lens did you use?
I'm thinking about getting a 22m prime lens and 18-150mm zoom lens
So far I'm using the kit lens that came with the camera and 50mm prime I bought
Something for me to think about
It is. Don't be afraid to sell the equipment you don't use.
This a pricey hobby
