EOS R and gear shipped to be here tomorrow, weather looking every bit of crappy the next few days :snoop:.

Been looking at L brackets for the tripod, anybody using them? Think I'm gonna roll with this one and buy the grip for the camera:

PLCBGE22 Arca-Swiss L-Bracket for Canon EOS-R with BG-E22 Battery Grip

:salute: I didn't know the R model has the same sensor as the 5DM4, that, the tilt screen, full frame AF point coverage, and it being on sale right now, sold me.

Yup it does, actually the R and the RP are the best bang for the money to me. If you are using ef lenses the official canon converter is a rip off

the commlite is the exact same and cheaper

I've been using it since the day I got my camera no issues at all

@FireMikelArteta can't quote you for some reason. The R is $200 off right now, not bad at all. Only thing that sucks is there is a Best Buy literally 2 min from my house, they don't stock any of the Canon R series mirrorless bodies and barely any RF lenses. Had to have it all shipped. I went with the canon converter with the control ring.

Do you ever shoot in inclement weather? That festival I shot as (as you can see from the sky) had me shook :sadcam: I was meeting up with another photographer and told dude I’m shaking as soon as it starts coming down :pachaha: I got 0 weather protection/waterproofing for my camera rn

keep refreshing the 16mm at amazon hoping its in stock so i can buy then return when i come back :mjlol:
if not i may have to close my eyes and bite that 500 bullet or stick with my 35mm

@kdslittlebro I do occasionally, during the winter I had the drone and the camera out when it was snowing. Haven't done much in the rain, not too much worried my last few Canon bodies including the new one has weather sealing. I do wanna get some rain shots when I can

@FireMikelArteta Right now looking at the 24-105mm f/4 and the 100-400mm f/4.5-7.1. I also want the 50mm 1.2 at some point. I'm gonna keep my eye out for the EF used market cause prices have been dropping. Hate that I sold all my L glass just a few months ago.

Didn't see an RF 16 on Canon's site, can you link the Amazon?

Photo dump coming, 1st day with the mirrorless, I'm a believer. @FireMikelArteta this control ring is fukking TRUTH :whew:, got it mapped to change the ISO. Every camera made should have an articulating touchscreen. Absolutely love this EOS R, a bit smaller than my 7D, feature list like a brand new car.

amazing
what lens were you using to shoot these?

I knew you'd come back home to canon :blessed:

the control ring is great you can also get it to work with ef / ef-s lenses if you cop the expensive
