Top Shotta, None Hotta!
Thinking I'm making that switch over to Sony ..
Price on the Canon R6 out here is deadly.

Watch the Gerald Undone video, he said the colors are easy to match with the FX-9.I wish it was $3K, but for $3,500, it’s still a monster of a camera.
I just wish it included some of the pro features of the S1H like vector scopes and waveforms and I haven’t seen anyone mention that it has Cinetone, which would make it the ultimate B-cam for someone who also owns an FX-9.
But again, all things considered, they really delivered and I’m sticking with Sony. Just put the new menus, unlimited record time and 10-bit, 4.2.2 video in an A7IV and I’d be good forever.
This does have me thinking that the A74 will do some shyt like shoot 6K 30p and then 4K 60p without the 120p option and be priced at 2500 or some crazy shytJust put the new menus, unlimited record time and 10-bit, 4.2.2 video in an A7IV and I’d be good forever.

That would be some Sony shyt to do
hope the a7iii gets a firmware update with that new menu
The only reason the A7siii can't do 6K video is because of the 12MP sensor. With the A74, they tout that as a true hybrid camera, so I can see them shooting for 6K because it will have a higher resolution sensor than the A7siii. It's been at 24MP for a few iterations, if they push it up some to like 30 or 32 I think it could do 6K.$2K is a really good sweet spot for Sony’s “entry level” full-frame camera, so I doubt the next one would see that much of a price jump.
I doubt the A7IV would get 6K, 30p but could definitely see it getting 4K, 60p. If they’ve figured out a solution to the over-heating problem, then I actually expect it at this point.

Either A74 or the A7rV is my prediction for their first 6K shooter, I could be wrong and they wait longer to do that since the A7siii doesn't shoot 6K but yea...
I'm just going off of how crazy they went with the A73... nobody was expecting them to put everything in there like that. It's really a great hybrid camera, the r series is their professional/commercial photographer's camera, so I expect the 4 to be a very capable video camera like the 3 is now.I’m sure the A7IV would be able to do 6K, but I just doubt it because Sony, just like every camera manufacturer, purposely omits features in their lower end models to make people want the upper tier ones. Just like 8WON6 hoping they give us A7III owners a firmware update for the new menus. They could do it but why do that when they could just put them in the A7IV and make that a reason to upgrade.
I could definitely see the A7RV getting 6K and put that together with the new menus and video codecs ...
