Gotta send my brand new 2 week old Canon in for service . Went to change the battery and put a new one in, the time/date reset. Tried it again with another battery, same thing, charged up the battery that came with camera, same thing. Called Canon, they said it definitely has to be sent in, nothing I can fix from home (reset/firmware), about a week out for repair, I hope.

Went out today to downtown, very light traffic and people since the closings started being mandated. So strange seeing downtown this dead. This one street, E.4th (2nd, 4th photo) is usually PACKED with peeps. Not a soul around except city workers and some homeless people. Every restaurant was either closed with chairs on tables and signs on doors or carryout only.

Besides everything else taking a hit with this virus I just thought about the wedding photography business. A lot of that may be put on hold indefinitely if this drags out till mid July or August.

We had a wedding shoot booked for this Saturday and they cancelled the whole thing indefinitely

Well, I wanted a Canon full frame and it came down to the 5DS or 5D Mark IV, the 5DS has a 50mp sensor, not great high ISO performance, and more of a specialty camera IMO. The Mark IV has much better performance and is a great all around use camera, 30mp sensor which I can easily work with plus 7fps.

What cloud storage services do you guys use? I recently switched from Dropbox to Google Drive and found a way to transfer the files directly with MS Teams. I was avoiding having to download everything from Dropbox and re-uploading everything again, so this was a cool way to bypass that step. I made a video talking about it to... in case anybody is contemplating switching services down the road...
