If anybody is using Davinci Resolve for their editing, I highly recommend staying at version 15.3.

Upgrading to 16 or 16.1 is asking for trouble. I've recently gotten new GPU for my desktop, and I got a new laptop that's way more powerful than my old Macbook and version 16 and up has been just annoyingly laggy while using it... across every machine I have.

You've been warned.

I'm downgrading back to 15.3 right now.

Any NYC brehs hitting up the Photoplus Convention this weekend? Hot the invite from someone I met at the airport that works at Wandrd in marketing. I'm bout to drop a lot of dough for my camera bag in which they have 1 of the 3 I'm looking at. (Prvke 31)

I still haven't pulled out my z6 due to how busy I've been at work and the fact that I want all my lenses before I go out. Outside the kit lense, I just ordered the Nikkor Z 50mm prime and Nikkor Z 14-30mm Wide Angle. Both should be here by Monday:lolbron:

The World, but from BK
Some action photos from a recent boxing event I shot. The womens' matches were the best ones on the card:

Just copped my first non-kit lens on a whim. Best Buy was selling the Sony E 55-210mm lens for $150 & packaged with a $50 gift card so it felt too good to pass up on. I stopped trying street photography because it felt weird trying to inconspicuously take photos and so hopefully the telephoto lens motivates me more.

From here on out though, any additional lenses I get will potentially be second hand since I hear that used camera equipment can be great

What's your budget breh. You're question is infinitely broad.
G85 is a good starting camera for video. What lens(es) do you have?

Things to consider:
What software do you want to use to edit (Final Cut, Premiere Pro, Resolve, etc.)
Do you have any other gear? (Gimbal, Tripod, lights, etc.)
Will you be shooting and exporting in 4K?

If you're truly starting from scratch, your best bet is to familiarize yourself with the basics of photography, get to know your specific camera, and take a ton of practice shots. YouTube is going to be your best friend and honestly all you will need to get off the ground and start making some dope content.

If you're using premiere pro and are going to be working with 4K footage you're going to need a monster computer.
Premiere pro is great but it's a huge resource hog. Get an SSD, the best processor, and as much RAM as you can afford. Don't go cheap or you'll regret it. One thing you don't want is for your creativity to be destroyed by having to fumble with a weak system.

For the camera, I recommend getting a gimbal. I use a Zhiyun Crane 3 and also own a Crane 2 and Crane Plus.
Lenses, I would go with the 35mm equivalent of: 50mm, 16mm, and 50-100mm.
If you have the money, get a metabones speed booster so you can use canon glass. If you do, the Sigma 16-35mm and Sigma 50-100mm art lenses are must haves. You'll need to get good with manual focus quickly though. Speedboosters do not have good autofocus at all.
Take lighting seriously; this is something a lot of people ignore early on. If you can get a 3 point Aperture system go for it. It'll be a long lasting investment and it'll take your production to a high level most indie people don't think of. Also, keep audio in mind as well. If you are going to be capture audio, then I recommend the Rode NTG3.
Some of these recommendations are very expensive but that's why I asked you what your budget was. There are plenty of options but without knowing your budget it's hard to be of any real help.
