That's a good idea.
I'm definitely gonna ask and see how they feel about it. I have a new mac book pro that handles final cut almost as well as my maxed out imac.
I did a quick search and there's videos going over it. One that I saw said you will actually need Resolve as an intermediary to get it over... which might be just extra. I would think it would be as simple as exporting an XML file in FCX and simply importing that XML into Premiere.

I pick stuff up pretty quick.
I'm not necessarily asking for someone on here to get me to pro. I'm gonna spend a ton of time on YouTube getting to know the ins and outs of the program.
I'm just interested in some feedback regarding people's experience on here. If they like it or hate it and why.

There’s a bunch of free 2 month trials for skillshare around.

It can get you up and running pretty quick on adobe premier

I like final cut for my personal edits and whatnot since I have a ton of plug ins and experience with it. I just have more fun with the interface and workflow on my MacBook

But adobe does seem to be the standard with companies etc

Skillshare was where I learned the basics of adobe and pretty quick.

YouTube is an awesome resource but it can make you tend to lean towards mimicking other people’s editing styles especially if you’re just starting out with adobe.

Something to keep in mind.

What do you use to pull focus when you're shooting on a stabilizer?
You don't :dead:
It's a challenge. I end up going for a native wide angle lens with the best autofocus possible.
Every now and then I'll reach around and pull focus but most of the time you have to rely on autofocus.
They sell some attachments to pull focus but I haven't gotten them yet.
I'm going to order the servo set up for the crane 3 and try it out.
For the GH5 speedbooster and sigma lens combo I use you pretty much have to shoot in manual mode so I end up not being able to use my best set up when I'm running the crane.

I was curious cause I know there are ways people do it but since I use the A7iii and the autofocus is legit sosI just frame the shots and it handles the rest in most of the time.

One way that I'll probably try out is with external monitors. There are some that give you hella options when connected to your camera that let you nail focus and exposure easily without having to touch the camera

Yo, when shooting in manual on the a7iii, how do you go back and forth between controling apeture and shutter speed?

Also, how do you lock the shutter speed?
