Is anyone familiar with the limits on batteries you can bring on a flight.
We have a shoot in Florida that will be 5 full days of shooting. We will need to fly out and we're considering bring the following batteries:

8 GH5 batteries
4 Mavic Pro Batteries
4 AA Rechargeable Batteries

I'm not sure about the limits. I thought you could only bring a total of "X" batteries but I read online that there is no limit to how many you can bring, only the size of each individual battery.

Damn. Im hesitant on going out with my camera right now in my city cuz people getting shot almost everyday & i be rolling solo walking thru alleys & back streets looking for things to shoot
:francis:

I'm the same way, rolling solo through the city at night with camera and tripod. Side streets, industrial spots that are closed, etc. Always looking for a great, interesting shot somewhere. You never think about it till something happens.

Technically your'e allowed to travel with as many batteries under 95watt as you like, however more than x 4 and they start asking more questions. All the above mentioned seem low wattage (the mavic batteries being the most draw id assume). Tape up the seals on the Mavic Pro batteries with gaffer or masking tape and make sure all the batteries are in pouches or cases etc, i.e. make it look like you made an effort.

I'd be staggered if you were stopped for the above batteries. Normally the only ones that seem to draw a concern are dodgy looking batteries (i.e. early movi batteries with +- wires hanging out etc), batteries with above 95 watt wont travel.

Anytime, the worst part about all the battery travel (i do it a lot, but mainly with v lock batteries) is that you can never be certain the customs / airport security are going to be professional, sometimes they just in a bad mood or they're just some motherfukkers. But in your case it should be cool.

Im not sure what the regulations are in USA, maybe you can print it out if you find it on the internet (I do this always, it is a big help if shyt gets crazy.)
