I was.in the rare hip hop photos thread and someone brought up how they are thinking of getting a polaroid camera because of the nostalgia of so many of those rare photos..,

Made me think that was a good idea also.

I may get a regular pocket camera whenever i wanna take a quick snap and the DSLR is too big

And then use the canon or nikon for the average modern photo

Im just wondering i would use the polaroid to get that nostalgia feel.

Hmm...

Nope, self taught got into digital cameras back in 2000, bought my 1st DSLR in '04, the more I shot, the more I learned. I've picked up a few things from photography websites and forums.

I think that's the way to do. Learn by experience and with the internet there's more than enough resources to learn about anything.

I don't know what level you are at, but this is a introductory course by Harvard University and it is free. I believe it is 10 hours long all together.

DGMD E-10: Exposing Digital Photography

I just want to throw info out for coli brehs who are interested in buying a specific type of lens but might think it might out of their price range. Try Japanese sellers on ebay who sell photography equipment (ones with high reputations and selling long time of course). Got my used Canon 17-55mm from a reputable Japanese seller. I would say it is in excellent condition and it very good price, came with lens hood and was packaged really well. Japanese photographers in general take very good care of their equipment.

These camera prices are mad :damn:

I dont believe they cost this much. It has to be because I'm in England where everything is twice as expensive than any other country.

:mjlol: photography is expensive as shyt. but you can make due with older technology if youre not shooting in low light. like if you shooting in the day mainly, you could cop like a d700, or a 5d mark II or a fuji x-t1. All of those are under a G. but then you gotta worry about coping lenses. buy used, guy smart, and hunt.
