With Light room a lot of the general workflow is easier and more straight forward but you can go way more in depth with Photoshop especially when it comes to photo manipulation.

Lightroom mainly, but if i'm retouching i export to photoshop. i tried to remove a blemish in lightroom and it seemed to not be as intuitive as pshop. bout to go watch a tutorial.

Yeah, lightroom sucks for retouching unfortunately.

Adobe has a photography package that gives you Lightroom and PS for $10 a month...assuming you go the legal route.
