So philosophically, for some photographers, it's more about making the shot they took look as good as possible instead of taking the perfect shot? I've been learning bit by bit the past few years. Framing the shot right, working with how light is working within the shot, playing with focus/shutter speeds/etc, and now I'm looking at how the final product gets to where it's at. Up until now I thought editing was some subtle touch up type shyt. I didn't know cats were adding clouds and shyt.
i'm more of a subtle touch up person. all that god damn editing annoys me. HDR type shyt, i cant really fukk with it, BUT its the current wave. but if you look at super legit photographers like everybody who is a magnum photographer... they not doing all that heavy edit shyt. end of the day, do you pleighboi.

Depends what kinda editing. I only edit to get the right tone....I'm not into all this adding stars, clouds and sun ray type shyt.

But having said that I'll always try and get the pic as right as I can when taking it. Everyone edits, people who criticise others for editing most of the time have no idea what they're talking about.

Most of the stuff I do is like messing with contrast, white balance, curves, etc...the only times I use something like Photoshop/GIMP...i'll just mess around with like making a symmetry shot or something, just for fun. But yeah, its way way way better to get as much of the shot right in camera and do as little editing as possible. But yeah alot of times people think editing and they think of those extreme photoshopping vids where somebody warps a chicks thighs and breasts. Most photogs just are adjuscting like color/contrast type stuff.

Yesterday was my first time shooting with models. Way out of my "street photography comfort zone. Interesting experience.

Guys, what a good camera for a beginner? :lupe:

That's all subjective based on what you're trying to do. All brands have a uniqueness to them.

@spinoza put me on to my first camera Nikon d90 which was fine several years ago.

But now the size has become a issue for me. I want something I can take in public that people will barely notice.

Good stuff. Where do you find these models? I'm considering shooting models but don't know where to start.
These two were sent my way by another photog I know. And I just made a post on IG stating that I'm looking for models and others replied to it. You might also try Model Mayhem.
