I really don't have a problem with the move, I just hope they don't try to change the image of the Raiders and it's fanbase to fit in with the Vegas crowd. The "darkside" image is dope. I like going to games and seeing Darth Raider roaming the stadium, people walking around in face paint with spiked shoulder pads, dudes wearing Jason masks while holding a severed head with the opposing team's helmets on. :banderas: I'd hate for that to be replaced with Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators wearing Raider shirts. :beli: or Wayne Newton being played at every game instead of Cube and Too Short. :scust: I know they gotta change a little cuz Vegas is home now, but I hope they don't get too carried away with it.

The city of Oakland already got the lawyers out. Goodell and Bowl Cut and the rest of the owners didn't help the situation by throwing gasoline on the fire in Oakland's direction. Don't be surprised if they sue to keep the Raiders name like Cleveland did with the Browns. They're trying to get Davis the fukk out of the coliseum.

If they don't keep the Raider's name, that might be a deal breaker for me. :francis:

It's about to get real shytty, real quick. The President of the City Council wants to evict them. It's now coming out that not only did the NFL want a new stadium for the Raiders. They also wanted the A's kicked out.

Oakland leaders say Raiders didn't do enough to stay, 'They did not want us'

FTA:
"We did everything they asked of us. This was their choice," said Schaaf of the Raiders and the NFL. "We have 55 acres of land that is shovel-ready next to existing Coliseum. This is land on which we could have begun work tomorrow."

The Raiders would play in Oakland two more years. Reid, who is also on the Oakland Coliseum Commission, wants them out, now, and is looking into not renewing their lease. "...I don't want them here. They can go to Santa Clara to play. They did not want us. We busted our tails."

Reid says he intends to burn all of his Raiders jerseys.
"When they fail in Las Vegas they will not come back to this city, not on my watch. I don't want them. It has become personal with me."

"It's the Raiders or nothing," said Schaaf when asked if Oakland might accept another team. "Raiders are part of a city identity. That is what I value the most. I do not see that value with another team coming to this city."

"I feel we have been double-crossed and abandoned," continued Reid. "If Mark Davis knew he wanted to go to Las Vegas he should not have led us on."

They could've done all of this moving without throwing dirt on Oakland and they turned it up to an 11. The city had an option, it just wasn't public money, and now bridges are burned. Read the last few quotes by LIbby. I think her and the council are gonna raise hell like the league ain't seen in a while.

Mark Davis really should've had a better exit plan in place. Announcing to the city that you're moving while still planning to play there isn't a good idea.

We can not take another safety first rd. I rather have adoree Jackson
Yea I think Melifonwu would be a bit of a reach at that pick, I think someone good will end up falling to the Raiders in the first. A lot of ppl like Melifonwu as a corner too though. He is going to be great imo. But I agree I think they should go with the top corner

Everyone is blaming Mark for this when the city of Oakland's representatives have been shafting the Raiders for how long now ? Would rather have the A's around then the Raiders. At some point Mark has to look out for the best interest of his and our team.
Ya it sucks that they are leaving but i am a forever fan of the team if they maintain the name and history of the team. Gotta be in a place that they are wanted, its clear they are not wanted by the elected officials of the city which sucks because the FAN'S want them there. Mark learned this the hard way, after the LA vote, having negotiated a 1 year 2 option years lease with them for 900K, in addition dropping the line he would like to start working on a new stadium....all changed a week later when they tripled the rent on a 50 year old stadium that is falling apart. Who can blame Mark for walking away from them. Oakland thought Mark was some dumb ass clown with a bad haircut who fuked off his money on strippers and hooters with a bad haircut who inherited his daddy's business! But surpise muthafukkas he then turned the raiders into super bowl contenders and got 750 million free dollars and 59 percent off all the ass he can buy in Vegas! Brilliant Mark I'm proud of u! The model is just win baby and that's what we doing fuking winning!!

He came to 2 fukking meetings in 2 years. I don't understand how you're giving this man a pass, but do you. They gave him an option and he kept dodging them while going to San Antonio flirting with that city, then going to LA and getting shut down there, and finally Vegas for some reason caved to his ransom request. fukk him. At least the A's are paying for their own shyt and that's why the city sided with them.

Al left because he wanted public money from Oakland and went to LA. Oakland caved to get Al back and got him back here with public money that they're still paying on to this day. That's the reason they weren't doing it again. They know what happens. You goofy for believing the NFL who's lied about damn near everything the past 20 years. If the Davis family can't afford the team or a new stadium without getting welfare from my fukking taxes then they shouldn't own either one. Arthur Blank and Stephen Ross cut checks for their stadium without even thinking about moving the team. If you can't afford a house the bank forecloses. If you can't afford a car the bank repossesses it. This rich only on paper family can't afford the team and your answer is to give them more money. I'm good on that. I'd much rather they use my money on shyt that's worth it.

Man I'm not here to argue with u or name call. We agree to disagree. I'm listen to rich gannon right now on 95.7 the game who said twice so far mark and the raiders did all he can to keep the raiders in Oakland. So has madden and the rest of the raider legends. Second about other owners cutting checks and mark needing welfare and should sell the team. Al Davis unlike other owners started out as a scout and a special teams coach for the chargers parlayed that' into a coach then commish and then owner of the Raiders. He wasn't born rich,he doesn't have a billion dollar business, the man just loved football in his Raiders. So who are u or I to tell mark he needs to sell something his daddy busted his ass for? He got the money he needed, he is about to profit like hell! we going to have a state of an art stadium, we can afford to pay players and Go on a run for a min. If u not with it ok sorry but I rep the raiders not la raiders not the Oakland raiders but the raiders. I don't know where u live but if u did live in Oakland and u got offered a job in Dallas that paid u millions would u take it? Does that make u a trader for leaving Oakland or Less of a raider fan? You did what was best for u and ya fam. Fans leave cities all the time mark did what was best for the RAIDERS!

If nothing else, I hope Mark can at least have a preseason game or two in Oakland for the culture. Hell, maybe even do the Oakland and LA Coliseums for the first two preseason games after training camp in Napa Valley for all the Cali fans, and finish the last two preseason games in Vegas before the start of the season. If Mark and the team can work out a great travel/lodging package for fans it can help keep NorCal fans in the mix while LA fans can make the same day trip to and from LV. You add the other places like Salt Lake City, Phoenix, etc and the Raiders could potentially be a draw in several western states.

Mark can come up if he plays the cards right and make the Raiders a regional power in the West. Doubt any of this happens though. :ld:

Excellent strategic vision but no way Raiders ownership does this
