NORTH LAS VEGAS
I really thought AP would use last year's season to have a team that was a tough defensive minded team that could make some noise this year :snoop:

The whole season and AP's HC job ended on that fateful Sunday in Vegas when Andy fukking Dalton styled on us AGAIN :camby:

The team never recovered and AP's coaching decisions got worse... time to move on AGAIN

Of all the openings where do the Raiders rank? I think Bears and Patriots are the top 2 jobs with young QBs with star potential and a lot of cap room. The Jaguars ownership and GM situation is bad but at least they have a serviceable QB so I'd put them over the raiders. I'd honestly put Raiders over Jets until they get rid of Rodgers cause I can't imagine a coach wanting to deal with Rodgers BS. And would rank Raiders over Saints just because of their cap situation, no QB in place, and really nothing to build on.

I'd say exactly where you have it

The pros:
A lot of cap space
Raiders are top 5 most popular franchise in the NFL. So if you win there, you will get a lot of widespread recognition and love
A lot of draft capital
Living in Las Vegas (depending on the purpose, this could be a Con as well)

Cons:
No QB in place
Dysfunctional history
Lot of holes to fill on the roster

He’s been an OC for years, he’s in his 60’s, but could be someone who can get the team in the right direction before retiring in 4-8 years.
I'd love that at this point. Ideally you want someone to be your next Mike Tomlin, head coach for the next 20+ years.

But I'll take baby steps with the Raiders. Let someone come in, stabilize the franchise, get us winning seasons consistently, then playoff berths then serious contenders etc...over the next half a decade. But they need to make sure it's the right guy and they need to show patience.
