If this is 100% true how they say it is and they didn’t take him to court, they are fukking idiots just like he says they are.

I have a feeling thats not exactly what the contract says and they didn’t do their due diligence when signing it, just like how they never questioned any other business decisions over the last 4 years of their podcast. They know joe, they know he’s a bad businessman and bad friend and they sat beside him and agreed and did everything he said, anyway.

Sounds like the bare minimum.

The fact the Joe never responded when they told their side of the story leads me to believe the shyt was true. They were very detailed in their response to Joe and that nikka started backtracking and apologizing.

Yes he's a terrible business man, which is the reason he didn't get what he wanted from spotify.

He's also extremely entertaining, and that keeps him afloat even when he's setting his podcast on fire.

You're wrong, Joe's terrible business acumen is the exact reason they offered what they offered, and it wasn't a lowball deal either.

It doesn’t matter how popular his show is if spotify has no way to make money off the popularity. Joe felt like he deserved a Rogan deal, but when you compare both podcast it's clear Joe didn't deserve even close to that. Spotify makes far more money from akademiks less popular podcast

Joe Rogan had multiple sponsors worth millions of dollars to leverage in his spotify deal, and he was willing to make the podcast exclusive. Joe Budden on the other hand never had sponsors before his first deal, never allowed ads during that deal, and wouldn't allow them in the next deal. He was also only offering the audio because he planned on keeping the video on YouTube for free, so his podcast wasn't even exclusive and he expected $100 million. He had no leverage, and the fact that he felt he deserved what Rogan got with what he was offering just shows how little he understood the business.

Facts

Rory and Mal are the weakest links on their own podcast and the joe budden podcast has only gotten better since their departure. But I still feel like Joe holds all of the blame for how that relationship ended. Regardless of how mid they were, they still played a big part in creating that podcast and were owed alot more respect than Joe gave them in the end.
