Lol yo in all seriousness, they better have a Patreon responding bc Joe destroyed their integrity. Never let shyt like that go unchallenged

Rory and Mal's problem is they want to put their foot on the gas and the brake at the same time. They want to take little shots but then play victim and/or "take the high road" when Joe responds. They just need to decide if they're wtih the bullchit or just get out the way and not address it at all but the halfway shyt is a loss every time.

I feel like all those things can be true
Joe can be right about Rory and Mal being boring, but he was still completely in the wrong for how that relationship broke down.

Rory and Mal agreed to work for Joe for free, helped him build that shyt up from the ground, all documented, and Joe tossed them aside and acted like their involvement was minimal. That's a terrible friend.

As a business man, Joe wrote them contracts that entitled them access to the accounting, then denied them access because his ego made him feel like they didn't deserve to see the accounting. Then fired them when they rightfully pushed the issue. That's just bad business.

No matter how you look at it, Joe fukked them over. I don't know how anyone could look at dude and not recognize a snake.

If this is 100% true how they say it is and they didn’t take him to court, they are fukking idiots just like he says they are.

I have a feeling thats not exactly what the contract says and they didn’t do their due diligence when signing it, just like how they never questioned any other business decisions over the last 4 years of their podcast. They know joe, they know he’s a bad businessman and bad friend and they sat beside him and agreed and did everything he said, anyway.

Sounds like the bare minimum.

And this isn’t me caping for Joe, we all know he’s a scumbag. But i don’t pity them because they knew joe was a scumbag too and that didn’t really stop them from wanting to be around him. Rory saw how he did Marisa

Feels like the narrative on this site has changed from Joe being a terrible business man and friend, to Joe being right about Rory and Mal.
is he really a terrible businessman if he always lands on his feet? you could argue that he's controlling his destiny... most people would just stay miserable in the same spot

Yes he's a terrible business man, which is the reason he didn't get what he wanted from spotify.

He's also extremely entertaining, and that keeps him afloat even when he's setting his podcast on fire.
