Just finished. I found out that Simpson is Nuke, so I guess him and IGH are gonna be the main focus in season 2. Did they nerf Luke's powers? I didn't think a shotgun blast at close range would do that much damage to him. They really did a number to Jessica's apartment. :pachaha:

I hate how they did Clemons though, knowing how great the actor is. :smh:

I loved when Jessica snaped Kilgrave's neck like a twig. Dude was such a c*nt. That whole sequence with Hogarth and her ex wife/girlfriend was brutal. Carrie Ann Moss was looking fine as fukk in this. I wanted to get in them guts. I think the show lost momentum towards the end when Kilgrave was revealed. There wasn't that suspense you got in the cat and mouse game like in the beginning. Kilgrave got away way too many times. This is why we need Spidey and The X men in this universe. Spidey and Jessica went to the same HS and Professor X/Jean Grey would own Kilgrave in a second.

We need Iron Fist forreal.

MCU has Spidey, at least partially but I think it's only on the Film side

finished the season last night...i give it a 7/10

compared to daredevil (which it really shouldnt be cuz daredevil has better source material and is miles ahead as a character also) it was doodoo lol but it was a solid time killer....luke show should be way better tho and iron fist (if done right) should be the best show of them all

after thinking about it this show really killed my hype for the Luke Cage show. He's so far removed from his comic book character in JJ that he might as well be another person.

Really wish they'd do a more lighthearted Heroes for Hire show with Iron Fist and Luke instead. Give us an alternative to all these melodramatic self-loathing serious superhero shows plz

I'm on ep 6. The best parts of this show are Kilgrave and Luke (no homo).
Does this version of Luke not have enhanced strength? They just keep talking about him being unbreakable and there was that scene where they were fukking where Jessica "overpowered" him.

Uhh, that's what the Marvel movies are for :dahell:These melodramatic self-loathing serious superhero shows are supposed to be alternatives to the cheery playful superhero movies that's become Marvel movies' niche
I meant TV show-wise. Like how DC/CW has Arrow and The Flash. I don't see why one medium has to be one thing exclusively. I wouldn't exactly call Marvel movies cheery and playful either outside of GotG and Ant Man I guess (haven't seen it) but that's another topic.

I'll take it a step further. I think this whole connected universe thing is a mistake. The Avengers should not exist in the universe their TV shows inhabit. It makes sense for the comics since they can actually do crossovers but since they apparently can't even mention other Marvel heroes by their names on the shows it makes the whole thing weird. It also creates problems like "why doesn't Kilgrave just go to Avengers Tower and take control of Tony Stark? Why doesn't he find the Hulk?"

I feel like they only do it for nerd points with the occasional out-of-nowhere reference but at this point it really seems to serve no purpose or benefit either side

this show has some really high points and some really low ones. season 2 is going to make or break it.

i agree with whoever said that it being available to binge watch instead of week to week saves it because i would have certainly put it on the back burner after episode 3.

the truth is we are looking at it the wrong way. Can't speak about AoS but the Netflix isn't really part of the MCU not in the way we think it is any way. We want to see them in avengers but I think they only extended the MCU to JJ and DD to prevent an arrow situation where some character is raiding another superheroes rogue gallery like it's going out of style. If they were really part of the MCU we would hear jessica or DD name names

Murdock is more capable of freeing Hope than Jones and he would never have considered trying to get a confession out of torture (which was dumb) .

He probably would have thought of the headphones idea first since Killgrave wouldn't have an effect on him.
Because Jessica was moreso worried about getting that confession to get Hope free so she could clear her conscience.

It was more than just freeing Hope, she wanted to clear her conscience since she blamed Luke's wife death, and Hope parents death on herself.

I don't understand how people are tripping over that...it's no surprise she kept fukking with Kilgrave and doing dumb shyt like getting a confession from torture. She wasn't trying to be a hero.

Show was good... I didn't really look at it as a mirror of free will as much as I thought it was allegory for a abusive relationship.

Typical girl with a abandonment issues, meets suave dude... Abusive relationship, she gets out, meets a new guy, he wants her back, she struggles with cutting him off eventually does.

Thought that was a cool story to market to the female audience.

This is a pretty poor assessment of the show :mjlol:

Like seriously what a fukking joke, is that all you can come up with?:what:

For starters you skipped out on that "suave dude" getting her to do anything against her will. :usure:

I'm rewatching DD and I think that show at least did it in a somewhat clever way. The fallout from the NYC attack in the Avengers left the city open for Kingpin and other criminal organizations to come in and take control. It helps make the alien attack seem real to give it a ground-level storyline like that, since that shyt is barely ever mentioned again in the movies.

On the other hand when they say "big green guy" and "the flag waver" in JJ I just go :snoop:

Whats AoS???

I'll post more opinions later but to start off its hard being an old professional black man in the Marvel Netflix Universe. First Ben Urich in DD, and now Clemons in JJ. :snoop:

#OldBlackLivesMatter dammit :mjcry: :damn:

:ohhh: had no idea Trish is suppose to be Hellcat
