When they "went to China" in episode 8, it honestly looked like they filmed that scene in Long Island. Just found an empty warehouse near the water and slapped some Chinese characters on it. I didn't expect them to film in China, but they could've more of an effort there.

Lots of warehouses and business down there plus a nice little spot where you can get some good roasted honey orange duck with seaweed and chic peas with rice

You evidently never been to Shenzhen my friend and sipped some warm Lavender Tea marinated with lotus leaves over looking the Luohu District Skyline.... its very beautiful in the spring

I finished the first three episodes other than the bland choreography Im enjoying it. If there's one huge knock is that the marvel Netflix show formula is really apparent with the show out of the rest.

Plus DD ran around in all black the first season until I think episode 9 or 10
So I won't go too hard on them for it but it would have been cool to expound on Gao's relationship with the other Iron Fist..
Costume does look cool..
Can't see how they are going to work it into The Defenders.
It just really irks me how they didn't tie in other characters for each series like they did JJ with Luke..
They can't just throw all these personalities together in an 8 episode arc. Small introductions should have occurred to build chemistry or at least acknowledgement of other heroes amongst them all..
That Luke/JJ/Claire subplot could bring great fukkery tho

Not to mention Punisher, LK and JJ didnt even have costumes or their "traditional looks" but its cool
