Like brehs this nikka was trying the past what 15 years in a legendary kung fu school in the clouds and his fights scenes looks like he was with Jay z in karate class. I was expecting some Bruce Lee enter the dragon type fight choreography but got some Buffy the vampire Slayer shyt instead
Acting is fukking trash. And as much effort I put in that comment is more effort than the actors put in this shyt
Story is I don't know cause I couldn't understand it enough to form an opinion on it
It's a reason why coli nikkas aint getting paid to critic films cuz half of y'all retarded. Enjoyed this,Doent think it's that bad, fukk the critics? Got that Stockholm syndrome. I feel sorry for y'all Mama's
Felt like it was only a necessity because what comes after it (ie heroes for hire & defenders). Bet they weren't expecting Luke to do so well, now they are going to have to find a place for this loser cause I doubt he gets a season 2
I'm seeing alot of Daredevil talk in here...are we actually measuring every Marvel Netflix show by Daredevil standards like every show they've released doesn't have its own style and flavor????????
Episode 5-6 it picks up a bit, episode 6 is the best overall but 6 also makes it PAINFULLY obvious that Sir Laras is painfully outclassed in the fighting department.
I'm going to say this again, but this show would've benefited MASSIVELY from casting an Asian American actor in the lead.
I don't give a fukk if the source material is a Cac. Iron Fist debuted at a time when white people could get away with such gross cultural appropriation. These aren't those times anymore. It's 2017, and even CACS are tired of seeing themselves outright stealing the culture and heritage of other races (in the media. Real life is another story)
White bread Danny Rand coming back to reclaim his father's company isn't exciting. There's literally NOTHING fresh about it. It's been done to death by better writer/directors a thousand times over. Arrow pretty much mastered it. There's no new ground, and the way in which the showrunners are going about it is ham fisted as all hell.
Sir Laras doesn't look like he can kick ANYONE'S ass, so him
Kicking the ass of THREE straight Asian characters in EP 6, who are supposedly masters, is fukking insulting. The great all powerful white man ALWAYS finds a way to be the best. fukk outta here
Claire Temple brings some MUCH needed humor and familiarity to the proceedings whenever she's onscreen. Colleen feels like their holding her back, she's more natural at it than the damn hero of the story. The Brother keeps getting progressively more annoying (your dad comes back to life from cancer but you can't believe the shyt Danny is saying?) and the sister is just kind of there to look either highly annoyed or completely shocked.
I will say the soundtrack is good. Cinematography is too notch, and The Hand storyline remains compelling. The evil dad is played well by the actor, I wish he was given more screen time over then brother/sister duo. Claire is a highlight.
The only way they can save this is bringing up Madame Gao's master as an epic scene which I am hoping it's the demon they serve in the comics. There needs to be a higher mystical presence in this.
And I never watched GOT so I had no idea what u were talking before I googled Sir Loras just now.
