Didn't know this many cats here disliked Jessica Jones shyt was piff to me.

I don't dislike it per say, but both me and Wife tried watching it and we both kept falling asleep. That shyt couldn't retain my attention and focus for shyt.

I liked it man. Private eye noir stuff is my lane and the purple man was awesome, as was jessica's story and the whole PTSD allusions. I really fukked with it. And both seasons of Daredevil and Luke Cage. They're not all perfect but they're very good

I really wanted to like it but like breh @Prodigal Syndicate I kept falling asleep. Only seen 3 episodes and I can't muster the will power to give it a legit watch.

And I would never call it bad bc they executed everything they wanted well from the few episodes I have seen but it just was not for me.

Luke cage was so dope the first half


I don't think I've seen a show nose dive in quality so drastically in the same season.

Most definitely. It's not for everyone. Most of their netflix shows are very niche when you boil it down. Daredevil is probably the most broad in terms of its subject matter and because it involves lawyer aspects, it can appeal to a larger swath of people. But Jessica is noir, Luke Cage is a Blackploitation homage with its own private eye angle, and iron fist is martial arts.

Luke Cage being called wack is weird to me. The only weak part about it to me was the 2nd villain

jessica jones was weak af....i read the comic a few weeks before the show came out and then once it did i was HIGHLY disappointed. None of the good shyt from the comic was in the show and i still dont see the love for purple man. He was way better in the comics. It being so focused on him for the entire length of the season really hurt the show imo. Should've put her side jobs in the show as well. I didnt expect them to show when she fought the avengers while under purple man spell but it would've been nice if they showed her fighting some sort of heroes. He was way worse in the comics. Cac was lightweight on the show

Damn son I liked it a lot but him calling it trash doesn't mean he's saying it's the worst show of the bunch. Not at all. And you know that too, you're too old to think otherwise

This is actually bigger than Marvel for me as I just genuinely hate the overuse or hyperbole usage of it with ANYTHING.

My stance to this is no difference than my stance when say maybe in the Coli threads where someone will say Bron or CP3 or etc is TRASH and my response is similar where I ask "do you actually think that Spencer Dinwiddle or Joe Harris is better than CP3 or Bron?"

Or when cats say MGS5 was trash, I would respond "oh you really think it's better than Alpha Protocol?"


It's the overuse of the word trash that I guess sets me off......

Like in Stan wars..... no matter what knock "in character" I may do for fukkery or to rile up the DC Stan base...... I would never use that as a tool for my agenda when it's just grossly not true.

How the fukk I look saying "Suicide Squad is trash" when F4 Reboot exist or Catwoman or Jonah Hex?

It's more of the usage of trash than the defending of JJ on the real.

I don't think he means "trash" in the sense that its the worst. Trash is slang at this point. It's the equivalent of saying it's not good or i didn't like it. I've seen episodes of tv shows that are "trash" but in no ways are they the worst thing ever. The "trash" seasons or episodes of the west wing are still better than 99% of what was on tv at the time and now. I agree with you on the fight against being binary because the internet is all about fukking binary, but I don't think this is a part of that war.

But if we actually gonna use or say;

Slightly better than average, average, slightly under average all classifies as trash.

Then how do we classify something that is actually "legit" trash or way worse than what we are criticizing?

I feel like that's the dilemma we put ourselves in or conundrum we create.

It's confusing when say a NBA Allstar/Finals MVP who misses a shot or 2 but in a game has 31pts 10ast 7rebs is called trash then Brandon Knight gets in the game in garbage time turning the ball over only has 3 pts and we be like "he trash too"

Are we really saying those 2 are the same? Lol
