Hell no, I've hated that character from the beginning. Phil has been the mvp of the show since day 1, I used to hate Alex until i saw her therapy session and realized why she acts the way she does.

He comes thru with some funny lines for me :yeshrug:

He's a much better character now than on the first couple seasons. Much more believable for a high school kid to act the way he does than the 10 year old or whatever he was when the show started.

Totally agree. I'm glad they moved away from the precocious kid angle. The episode where he realized that he developed at the same rate, maybe slower, of a regular child was excellent.

Just realized that Haley's boss is ol boy from Ugly Betty. Really miss that show but Jane The Virgin fills that gap nicely. I didn't particularly like Gloria riding out on Haley's boss either. She is a lazy slacker and there's nothing wrong with having a s h i t t y boss. Lily is coming into her own but I have always liked her. I just now realized that Alex is Lisa Simpson, Claire is Marge, Luke is Bart and Phil is Homer. I have always known that Alex was Kelly Bundy. She's like a one for one rip. That CGI/ green screen was terribly apparent when Joe was in the house. Another funny ass episode with Claire delving into her sociopathic tendencies in the name of parental love.

Alex centric episodes are dope as hell. Alex in that workout gear along with Gloria in those trash Americana clothes. I thought it was dope how they riffed on Chik-Fil-A with the protest at the restaurant. I wonder if that is truly accurate that some Homosexuals don't care to fight each and every establishment that doesn't agree with their views. I'm sure they exist and I did wonder about the backlash that they face from their community.

Where the hell was Haley. That has definitely been a trend this season of leaving the children out of episodes. My mans Sanjay out here snatchin' them up. That was a really sweet scene. It was cool to see Alex not get rattled when she thought Sanjay was playing mind games with her and instead steeled her resolve and got busy. I still think Sanjay would have smoked her but I would have rooted for Alex nonetheless.

Jay was a fool when he looked into the camera after Gloria scolded him. Always consistent to see Manny rat Jay out and have him scramble to reconcile. Gloria's "Texas" accent was hilarious. Phil snapping back to Father Phil at the track and Claire reliving her freaky past in the Principal's office. In fact, the Principal is hella funny and I feel it has been a missed opportunity with the lack of school hijinks on this show. Another killer episode.

Seeing Gloria in those daisy dukes :whew:

With Alex graduating from college, I wonder if they will spend some episodes with her at college or she will start to be featured less on the show next season.

I thought the last episode was one of the better ones they have done this season, at least from an emotional level with all the stories tying together with that theme nicely. With only a couple episodes left, I wonder if the season finale will be the goodbye episode for Alex going off to college.
