are u seriously making a parallel between taunts in the act of battle (u know that thing u do to get in your opponents head to gain an advantage) to a guy who finally let his guard down and exposed that the image he purports is false? :why:

Not the greatest comparison but the point is people do things out of character or that they may regret during competition. Anderson acknowledged he went beyond getting in Maia's head and knew he crossed a line, that's why he begged forgiveness from Maia.

Weidman have no hespect

. Just kidding.

Some of you guys are making it bigger than it was. He took a lap for 5 seconds but he didn't scream Yes mad happy. He took his lap because his technique worked, he won then he checked on Anderson :yeshrug:

Seeing it in that gif jus mks my soul burn even more man. Never seen sum1 celebrate after a freak injury like that b4, and that look on his face is like wheeew, i made it out this fight alive thank u. He looks more relieved than happy. But u won the fight ok, congrats, but don't do 50 gazillion interviews talkin bout how i worked on checking leg kicks, and knew i could hurt or break his leg with it, like come on. How many checked leg kicks have we all viewed in MMA and how many times have we seen a leg snap in half. I would respect em more if he jus called a spade a spade, said I won, i got lucky, hes a legend and had a freak injury and i'll take it and i'll earn the belt next time. But dont act like u beat em.

thats exactly the part of this whole thing where you realize what a phoney the dude is.Its like he feels compelled to take full ownership of this "freak injury" because the slogan of the event was 'leave no doubt' just shameless

It's irritating because Weidman is a cool guy in real life (at least appeared so when I met him) but damn is dude coming off like a complete a$$hole with the "we trained for that destruction technique" it reeks of old school no rules UFC where sure a guy breaking his leg was :manny: because only hardcore fans were watching anyway. Yea it's looking like he could be that one unfavorable matchup legends run into when they are aging, but he can't be happy with the big ass unavoidable asterisks on his fights with Anderson.

My main fear as a fan was that the Chris dropped him clean from the clinch. Anderson has taken people's souls from that position

:ld:

what i dont like about inserting vitor into the equation is it gives mma fans the stage to display their foolishness. What vitor has managed to do at this juncture of his career is remarkable trt or no trt but if weidman beating a dude that has been fightingin since the mid 90s who anderson destroyed is validation to some that weidman isnt a fluke, i honestly do not know what to say

I concur Puppetmaster, Weidman always seemed like a cool guy to me in real life, but he's def coming off like a jerk now. He's then gonna face mr trt Vitor who gases out quickly and will probably win and then he'll really actually think he's the champ.

Please Rashad, drop down to 185 win or loss after this Cormier fight. We need to see this 185lb division get stacked up with multiple prime num1 contenders. We almost there, just a few more names would be great.

I don't think Chris realized the extent of the injury. Herb dropped in front of Silva and then Chris celebrated due to stoppage. Once he made his lap around the ring he realized something serious happened. But I agree that he shouldn't talk about how he trained to counter leg kicks with his technique, which ultimately led to the injury.
