Looks like they’re doing Holland/Wonderboy, which could be fun. But it’s disappointing seeing Holland pretty much punt on getting his wrestling right and deciding to retire if he ever has to face a wrestler again.

I think khabib came in at a time where high level catch/sambo wrestling was an unknown. He didn't really on striking but his jab was efficient in what needed to be done(set up grappling) the training is intense and khazmat being a jerk is kinda watering down everything, but it will be a good fight none the less. Khamzat is a completely different story. He’s Chechen and grew up training in sweden. He’s not connected to the dagestani fighters. Tbh he’s not connected to the Chechen fighters because he seeked asylum for him and his family from chencyna at a young age. Wasn’t till he blew up in the mma world he made amends with the dictator of Chechnya. From what I’ve seen Khamzat identify s most with the Swedes.
Khabib never faced a real grappler during his title defenses. Neither has Islam. We all gotta be thankful Tony Ferguson fought Charles, cause these rank squatters will never give up their spot, Dustin, Justin, and Chandler
Why the fukk are they doing Jiri vs Glover 2? Glover wasn't a long reigning champion. He never defended the belt.
I'd say Charles finished impressively but he's been in bad spots in many fights. Khabib barely ever been in a bad spot.
