So much. I can't remember the last time I've seen a pure jiu-jitsu guy this comfortable on the feet in such a short amount of time. When most BJJ guys get into MMA I'm like

they better get it to the ground quick. With Tonon I don't have that same feeling. Granted he isn't fighting UFC caliber opposition yet, but ONE has quality fighters, and I like that Tonon isn't rushing it. He's taking a lot of fights (5 in 14 months) and he's trying new skills in each fight, but he's not trying to rush to the UFC.
I have decent track record at predicting talent. To name a few, I called Johny Hendricks, Jon Jones, and Chris Weidman to be in title contention at some point in the UFC before either was in the UFC, and within 2 UFC fights I predicted all 3 would be champion at some point. I predicted In 2014 I predicted that Tony Ferguson and Dustin Poirier would each hold a title and that hasn't come true, but almost. Jon Jones is kind of an easy call in hindsight. I've also had more at least as many bad calls (Hector Lombard, Hatsu Hioki, Gilbert Melendez, etc.), so I'm not saying I can predict the future, but I expect to see Tonon fighting for a the 155 UFC title at least in 2022 or maybe as early as the end of 2021.
