Maybe old but he’s not too fond of Greg Jackson
You said hes not a fan of the fighters he coaches I already mentioned jones, who else?
Ps he might not be a fan but if they want to start honouring coaches its going to look pretty embarrassing if the first isnt the guy who trained rashad, gsp and jon jones
Greg jackson mostly hated cause his game plans for his fighters were followed and made for boring fights.. so Dana was talking down on him for a while
While that might be true in theory its doesnt apply to jackson. Dana's gripe with him wasnt some kind of negotiations tactic he legitimately felt he was making fighters boring which hurts the UFC..Other than jones, sanchez and cerrone i dont even think jackson had any other high profile guys. And in jones's case it would be malki kawa that would be negotiating on his behalf not greg jackson. So hailing jackson the greatest thing to the sport wouldnt impact anythingHad nothing to do with gameplans.
It's called business 101. He had to talk down Jackson to try and retain some sorta leverage in fight/contraction negotiations. Remember when a fighter or team gets a main event fight. More often than not da same team or training camp. Gets multiple fights on da lower card.
If ur a promoter n hype up da fighter and team ur gonna have 2 pay top dolla to them later. So u gotta fake it like u hate em
